While I am aware that the rapture
does not have to take place on a Jewish holiday,
many are looking for a Pentecost rapture (because
the church was given the Holy Spirit on
Pentecost) or Feast of Trumpets rapture. I am
wondering about a tabernacles rapture--IF the
rapture does happen on a Jewish feast
day? If you look at the following
verses:
Psalm 27:5
For in
the time of trouble he shall hide me in
his pavilion: in the secret of his
tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall
set me up upon a rock.
and Psalm 31:20:
Thou
shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence
from the pride of man: thou shalt keep
them secretly in a pavilion from the strife
of tongues.
Song of Sol, 2:9:
My
beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold,
he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth
at the windows, shewing himself through the
lattice. (The entire Song of Sol is a picture
of Jesus speaking to the Church and the
Church, the bride of Christ, speaking to him.)
Is he not looking through the "roof" or
lattice ---looking down at the bride at the
moment he is going to call her up!?
In the first verse, this is a good
description of the rapture followed by the Great
Tribulation. Also, this feast day lasts for SEVEN
DAYS. Could this typify our SEVEN years in heaven
during the Great Tribulation? When
Christians pray, we are told to go into our chambers (or
closet!) Christ, of course, is the ROCK!
See this verse in Isaiah 26:20:
Come,
my people, enter thou into thy chambers,
and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as
it were for a little moment, until the
indignation be overpast.
A chamber is like a small
tabernacle. When the Bridegroom comes out when it is time to call us
---the Bride out of her chamber - it's time to
"come away my love..." (Song of Sol). If the
people of God are told to "hide thyself as it were
for a little moment..." (7 years is a "little
moment" in comparison to the entire history of man
on this earth), then it says UNTIL the indignation
be overpast! Well this "indignation" is a
reference to the Great Tribulation when God's
wrath is poured out on the earth. This
goes along with the verse in Revelation where the
Philadelphia church is promised:
Because
thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also
will keep thee from the hour of temptation,
which shall come upon all the world, to try
them that dwell upon the earth (Rev.
3:10) This HOUR of temptation goes along with the
"little moment" in Isa 26:20 above -- Is a
"little moment" and an "hour" the same time frame
in God's clock?
Ever notice that if you sit in an
actual booth or sukkot that the Israelis construct
during the feast and look UP - you are looking
through a "ceiling" or "roof" of palms &
branches that are laid criss-cross - like a
LATTICE! Well, look at Song of Sol 2:9: (the
3rd verse above) how Jesus (the bridegroom) "is shewing
himself through the LATTICE".
Another clue?
Here is a video of a man who built
his entire sukkot out of LATTICE. For the roof,
you can see him laying palm fronds across the
boards (in a lattice-like pattern) because you
have to be able to see the stars through the ROOF
and you have to use natural
substances: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MrWmAEEAow
We are also told in psalm 27:5
(above) that "in
the secret of his TABERNACLE shall he hide
me!!! Well, this could
be a big CLUE that he is going to hide us in HIS
dwelling place, HIS TABERNACLE - when? During the
Feast of Tabernacles!
Also, in the 2nd verse, we are
hidden from the "pride of man,"
a veiled reference to the antichrist who will be
indwelt by Satan himself, the one who fell through
PRIDE! He is the KING of the children of
pride.
Another thing, notice in the 2nd
verse that - "thou shalt keep them secretly in a
pavilion from the strife of tongues."
Remember that it is the antichrist and his
FOLLOWERS who blaspheme God and blaspheme THOSE IN
HEAVEN! A very good description
of keeping us from the "strife of tongues," and
all the hateful accusations that he and his
followers will bring against the Christians who
disappeared! He's had 6000 years of
practice!
And I can't help but notice how
many times the word secret or secretly is used in
these verses! Paul spoke of the rapture as being a
great mystery and we know that Jesus is coming
like a thief in the night. Thieves are VERY
secretive and sneaky! While it is true that all
born-again Christians have a tabernacle that
houses the Holy Spirit, it seems like it would
make sense to take all those many "tabernacles" up
to heaven during the Feast of Tabernacles." Our
own Savior tabernacled in the flesh.
WHAT IF---???
I will leave you to examine the
rest of the evidence...
