Dear Doves,

Should you even bother to stop sinning? After all, Jesus paid for you and your sins, didn’t He? So…why stop? You can keep on sinning all you like….because you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit...or so you tell yourself.

What people who tell you this never seem to also tell you is….WHICH SINS they are talking about.

Let’s say you are a serial adulterer. Should you even try to stop?? Why bother? Jesus paid for your sins. You can’t stop, right?

Let’s say you are a pathological liar. Why bother to stop? Jesus paid for ALL your sins….correct?

Let’s say you are a murderer. Why bother to stop? Jesus will resurrect you to be with Him no matter how many people you kill.

It’s true we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. But does that also mean we can’t TRY to be better people? Tell me, WHICH SIN is it that you just CAN’T STOP doing????

From the very smallest sin, to the very biggest sin…they seem to be under ONE umbrella, that always seems to be covering them all no matter how big, nor how many, sins there are, on a CONTINUING BASIS daily and into the future.. This is NOT TRUE REPENTANCE.

I guess Hitler, Stalin, Nero, Pol Pot, Vlad the Impaler, etc. are all forgiven. Well, Hitler was the only ‘supposed’ Christian out of these, but…is he still forgiven for all he did? Why bother to stop murdering people, when all you have to do is say you believe in Christ? You killed one person, you killed six million. What difference does it make? You may as well keep killing until you reach the millions.

So, you just can’t stop sinning, huh? Well, how about saying what sins you are actually talking about? If you love Jesus Christ AT ALL…can’t you even TRY to stop stealing, lying, murdering..?

This is what is wrong with our world today….it’s all I’m Okay, You’re Okay...don’t worry, folks. Doctrines for itching ears. The world leaders have no problem lying us into wars, stealing our hard earned money, etc. But, they are all forgiven, right? Especially if they *said* they are Christians.

The Gospel According To Matthew:

¹⁶ Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

¹⁷ Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

¹⁸ A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

¹⁹ Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

²⁰ Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

²¹ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
