"What's the difference between God's clock and the Enemy's clock?"

Hello, John and Doves,

What's the difference between God's clock and the Enemy's clock?

God's clock goes, "Tick, tock!"

The Enemy's clock also goes, "Tick, tock,"
for a while, anyways.

In pride, those who exult in spiritual darkness say,
...“Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”
2 Peter 3:4  NIV

While the Good Lord Jesus is yet showing His patience toward sinners, some still rebel.
And why do they distort the scriptures?
15Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
2 Peter 3:15-16  NIV

The bottom line is that, sooner or later, this dispensation of grace must end.  And then the Kingdom Age takes over in earnest.
These past 2000 years (two days in God's book--2 Peter 3:8)
have been an overlap with the Age of Grace.

At that time, we will see that Our God Reigns (Job 38-41).

The result?

Epilogue

7After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. 8So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” 9So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.

10After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the Lord had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.

12The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

16After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. 17And so Job died, an old man and full of years.

Job 42:7-17  NIV

Now, back to our discussion about the enemy's clock.

Many there are who unwittingly quote the words of Job's friends, with which same God was displeased to the point of requiring sacrifices to repair the breach.  Job stood in the gap for his friends, and received their sacrifices on God's behalf.

Concerning those who refuse to partner with the LORD, for the sake of His Holy Name, we read,

9“Woe to him who builds his house by unjust gain,

setting his nest on high

to escape the clutches of ruin!

10You have plotted the ruin of many peoples,

shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.

11The stones of the wall will cry out,

and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

12“Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed

and establishes a town by injustice!

13Has not the Lord Almighty determined

that the people’s labor is only fuel for the fire,

that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?

14For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord

as the waters cover the sea.

15“Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors,

pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk,

so that he can gaze on their naked bodies!

16You will be filled with shame instead of glory.

Now it is your turn! Drink and let your nakedness be exposed !

The cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you,

and disgrace will cover your glory.

Habakkuk 2:9-16  NIV

Having read the foregoing, you now know how the Enemy's clock sounds:

Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock, [The Fall]
Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock,
Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock,
Tick tock, Hiccup, Tick tock, [the Virgin Birth]
Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock, [the Cross]
Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock, [1 Corinthians 1:18-25]
Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock,
Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick tock, [widespread apostasy after 2000 years of tireless Christian witness]

SPROING!!!

Oh no, what happened?

Must be that it is written [the LORD speaking],
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'
Isaiah46:10  NIV
And, of course, the secret meaning
of the Hebrew word translated, "all," is...wait for it..."all."
