Isn't Damascus too close to Israel for this to take place?

I think an asteroid will impact the NE Mediterranean Sea on the Day of God's Wrath.

Eze 38:8  After many days thou shalt be visited: IN THE LATTER YEARS thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel...

Eze 38:18-23 says, "at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that MY FURY shall come up in my face. 19  For in my jealousy and in the fire of MY WRATH have I spoken, Surely IN THAT DAY THERE SHALL BE A GREAT SHAKING IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL; 20  So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, AND ALL THE MEN THAT ARE UPON THE FACE OF THE EARTH, SHALL SHAKE at my presence (paniym, face, i.e., they will see the Sign of the Son of Man in the heavens), and the mountains (i.e., asteroids, Rev 8:8-11) shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and EVERY WALL SHALL FALL to the ground. 21  And I will call for a SWORD (Gen 3:24) against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. 22  And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain (i.e., a tsunami), and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23  Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I WILL BE KNOWN IN THE EYES OF MANY NATIONS, and they shall know that I am the LORD."

Gen 3:24 says, "So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims (i.e., planets), and a flaming SWORD (i.e., Satan's asteroid Wormwood) which turned every way (orbited and rotated), to keep the way of (or to) the tree of life" (which is in Heaven).

Rev 16:17-20 says, "And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18  And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great EARTHQUAKE, such as was not since men were upon the earth (i.e., there was a huge earthquake before Adam was created), so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19  And the great city (Jerusalem) was divided into three parts, and THE CITIES OF THE NATIONS (INCLUDING DAMASCUS) FELL: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS WRATH. 20  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found."

Two main asteroids will hit Earth. The largest one will hit Babylon, near the Euphrates River, after the Last-Trump Rapture.

Rev 18:4 says, "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

This is the Last-Trump Rapture.

Rev 18:21 says, "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great CITY BABYLON (i.e., "and the cities of the nations", including Damascus) be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

It looks like two major pieces of Satan's asteroid Wormwood will hit Earth. One will destroy Damascus, Syria. The other will destroy Babylon, Iraq. All the cities of the world will be a shambles, because all walls will fall.

THE DAY OF TROUBLE, DAY OF GOD'S WRATH

Isa 22:5-19 says, "For it is a DAY OF TROUBLE, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains."

Isa 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here? (i.e., Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the Satan-possessed False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock? (i.e., in Wormwood)17 Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. 18  HE WILL SURELY VIOLENTLY TURN AND TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL INTO A LARGE COUNTRY (i.e., in Iraq, not tiny Israel): there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house."19  And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down."

THIS KIND OF THING HAS HAPPENED BEFORE

Isa 51:9,10 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (i.e., the Son of God, Isa. 53:1); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old (i.e., before Adam). Art thou not it that hath cut (i.e., chatsab, split) Rahab (now our Asteroid Belt), and wounded the dragon (i.e., Rahab was Satan's planet)? 10  Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?"

This seems to be when a large piece of Rahab hit Earth, and the Moon material was dug out of the Pacific Basin. A large piece of Rahab seems to have hit Mars too. There is an enormous scar on Mars, and it lost it's oceans. Part of the oceans of Rahab and Mars may have hit Earth during Noah's Flood. The whole Earth was covered with water.

BEFORE NOAH'S FLOOD, THE ANGELS THAT LEFT THEIR HABITATION ON RAHAB AND CAME TO EARTH WERE CHAINED UNDER DARKNESS UNTIL THE DAY OF THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST ON THE DAY OF GOD'S WRATH

Jud_1:6 says, "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation (i.e., on Rahab), he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

WHAT HAPPENED TO EARTH WHEN THE DISOBEDIENT ANGELS WERE CHAINED?

Gen 1:2-9 says, "And the EARTH was (hayah, lit., became) without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4  And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6  And God said, Let there be a firmament (i.e., expanse of space) in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 9  And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place (i.e., in the PACIFIC BASIN), and let the dry land appear: and it was so."

THE FIRST-TRUMP RAPTURE, THE FIRST "COME UP HITHER"

Rev 4:1-4 says, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, COME UP HITHER, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2  And immediately I was (ginomai, i.e., became) in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. 4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold."

Rev 11:1,2 says, "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, RISE (egeiro, lift up, take up, i.e., in the First-Trump Rapture), and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2  But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months."

1Th 4:16-18 says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

THE LAST-TRUMP RAPTURE, THE LAST "COME UP HITHER"

Rev 11:9-13 says, "And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10  And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11  And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12  And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, COME UP HITHER. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13  And the SAME HOUR was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city (Jerusalem) fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."

1Co 15:51-54 says, "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

"My Thoughts For Today"

Hi Everybody,

I really thought that Obama was going to defy Congress and the American people with an attack on Syria.  Then Iran would attack Israel using their proxy, Syria, and the rest of the Islamic Middle East would join in.  Israel would fight back by leveling Damascus with a nuclear bomb, fulfilling Isaiah 17.

Instead, Obama backed down leaving Israel all alone.  From what I am reading on the various prophecy web sites, Israel is really feeling abandoned.  Not only did the US forsake her, Britain and Canada did as well.  The only hope for Israel now is to turn to God.  Isn't that what the tribulation is all about??  Jesus said that He would not come back in His second coming until the Jews cry out "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."  To accomplish this, the Bible says that Israel will find herself totally abandoned in the world.  It really looks like that is exactly what happened today.  Prophecy fulfilled.

Isaiah 17 will still be destroyed and Damacus will still become a ruinous heap in a single night.  If Israel has to go it alone and the Islamic world attacks, Israel's only practical option might very well be a nuclear detonation over the heart of the problem, the place where Assad has his capital.  Damacus.
