John ......Here is my letter to two fellow Doves and prayer buddies.... P &L, I never turn the weather channel on anymore, always use my weather site online ....www.intellicast.com ....but for some reason, must now, I turned it on for a minute, and of all things, they were doing a report on the recent tornadoes in Japan....yep, Japan.....why is that significant, because back when the tsunami hit Japan in March of 2011, it had been exactly one year, to the day, that the Japanese government issued a statement condemning Israel for building 1,600 new housing units in Jerusalem.....here is a portion of the statement Japan made regarding construction of Jewish housing units in Jerusalem. Then on March 11, 2010, exactly one year before the great earthquake the Japanese government issued this statement: "The Government of Japan deplores the decisions of the Government of Israel to give permission for the construction of 1,600 housing units in East Jerusalem. ..The Government of Japan does not recognize any act that prejudges the final status of Jerusalem and the territories in the pre-1967 borders. Japan demands that the plans should not be implemented." ........we know the catastrophic devastation that befell Japan one year later after this statement was given by the Japanese government..... (whole article at this link) http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/may2011/lou512.htm ....well now, The Weather Channel just reported two tornadoes in just three days, hit Japan, near Tokyo, which they said is a high population area. They said it is extremely rare tornadoes to hit so close together in the same area near Tokyo. Here is a portion from an article in 2009, shortly after a new party won the election in Japan, stating the anti-Israel sentiment held by the incoming administration. "Withdrawing from American guardianship could also change Japanese policy toward Israel. Until now, Japan limited its support for the Palestinians to aiding economic projects, in keeping with American requests. The Hatoyama government is likely to take a more pro-Arab stance, such as by recognizing Hamas and making tougher demands of Israel, such as calling for an end to construction in the settlements. Such a position would be similar to the line taken by some European governments, and will not necessarily lead to a confrontation with the United States. The Obama administration may actually be pleased. This January, the Israeli ambassador in Tokyo, Nissim Ben-Shitrit, participated in a Democratic Party convention. At the end of the convention, he met with Hatoyama. The party's Web site stated that Hatoyama expressed his deep concern over the Palestinian victims of Israel's Cast Lead operation in the Gaza Strip, and added that he hoped Israel would change its policies toward the Arab world, like American foreign policy had changed with the election of Barack Obama. Hatoyama called himself the Japanese Obama in his election campaign, and said he would bring hoped-for change. When it comes to Israel, Obama and Hatoyama may coordinate efforts in ways Israel hasn't expected."
