"Jubilee and Daniel The climax is not the end"

Jubilee and Daniel The climax is not the end

Read any good books?  Consider literature; good novels end with a denouement.  This is the wind down after the climax of the story.  The purpose is to wrap up any unfinished details and give the reader a sense of peace and resolution after the closing action.

Many consider that the end times end with the defeat of evil at Armageddon whereby the “bad guys” are thrown into the lake of fire in short order.  What?  Without a trial, are you kidding!   Well, I’m not sure about a trial, but it does make sense that the accusers of the brethren would, themselves, have to stand for their transgressions.

This is where the Jubilee and Daniel come in.  The generally accepted coming Jubilee begins with a proclamation on Yom Kippur 5776, September 23, 2015.  This will continue to Rosh Hashanah 5777, October 2/3, 2016.

Daniel Ch 7 makes a curious statement that all of the minions/beasts of Satan are defeated and imprisoned.  There is a delay before any are thrown into the lake of fire.  See Dan 7:12.  Why?

Daniel Ch 7 describes the seating of the ancient of days being seated for judgment and the Messiah being given kingship over the earth forever.  Compare Dan 7:13 to Rev 14:14.  A complete reading of Daniel 7 paints a clear picture of the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom.  Dan 7:12 says that the lives of the beasts are prolonged because their lives were determined for a “season and a time.”  This is a strong connection to the day counts elsewhere in Daniel.

I believe that the coming Jubilee will be this time, and the explanation, of the delay in Daniel 7.  God’s original purpose for the Jubilee was redemption and restoration.  This is why the Jubilee is proclaimed on the “Day of Atonement.”  This day is the last day to repent and get close to God; a time when He makes Himself more available than at other times of the year in tradition.  Once atonement is complete days of rejoicing ensue.  However, when Israel rejected His commandments God chose to make the Jubilee a time of judgment as well.  So, taking this time to reflect upon evil and God to proclaim judgment is within the established pattern of the Jubilee.

The day counts of Daniel are still in reach given this consideration.  Allowing for the year 5776 gives us three years from the time of this writing to the end of the jubilee.  Perhaps Jesus returns to execute judgment and is installed as king.  Then, after judgment is complete true cleansing begins leading to His installment as Priest over a cleansed kingdom at a later date.

During the Jubilee of 5776, the tribes can be restored to their lands, judgment plays out, and the delay of Daniel Ch 7 fits nicely into the established pattern of God and Israel.
