"Day of the Lord"

The Day of the Lord is actually the most spoken of event in the Bible. In OT the Day of the Lord is always negative, a time of destruction and war. In the NT we begin to see a different picture where it is put also in a positive outlook. Peter in Acts 2 when quoting Joel changed the scripture to read Great and Glorius instead of Great and Terrible. It is the most least understood picture in the Bible.

Simply put, the Day of the Lord is the Sabbath Day, the seventh Day, 1000 year reign of Christ.

In 2 Thess 2 we see the Day of the Lord cannot come till the antichrist takes his seat in the temple of God. So we know literally the Day of the Lord cannot come during the first 3 ½ years of the Tribulation. As I said in the creation article the timing and feast that represents creation in the time of year was Feast of Unleavened Bread and must end 6000 years later on the Passover.
When the Lord should begin to reign at the end 6000 years on earth another takes the Lord’s place--the antichrist in the middle of the 7. As the Tribulation is divided into two parts, the first 3 ½ years of the tribulation ends the 6000th year in middle of the Tribulation. The 3 ½ years after the antichrist takes power is the when the Day of the Lord begins, immediately after the antichrist begins to reign. This is why it is so hard to understand. 6th day ends and the 7th day begins in middle of the Tribulation. All scriptures will fit into this time frame.

Timing for the Tribulation to begin has to be around the Feast of Tabernacles counting back 3 ½ years from Passover. As I look at events unfolding in the middle east we are approaching such a time.

I would have to write a book to include all scriptures about the Day of the Lord. But look at the sheep/goat judgment which is a good example. This happens at end of the Tribulation and grace is no longer in effect. Jesus here represents the jewish people fleeing events in middle of the tribulation, and sheep/goats are all gentiles being judged for what help they provided. Because we are now inside the Day of the Lord, grace is no longer valid. We are judged previously by the Judgement Seat of Christ. And these sheep enter the kingdom in the flesh for the rest of the thousand years.

In Rev 11: 15 the scripture says he begins to reign. The scriptures are not out of order. This timing is around middle of the tribulation and notice the 7th trump or trumpet which I see as the last trump.

One more example; in Luke 17 it speaks of the coming kingdom which includes the days as in Lot and Noah. It speaks of of those on the housetops and those in the

field. Another place it speaks of those on the housetops and those in the field are in Matthew 24. Immediately after the abomination takes place as told by the prophet Daniel. Around middle of the Tribulation. Hope I provided some insight and maybe the time is almost upon us.
