Hi Doves,Our position here for the most part is a "pre trib" or maybe in some cases "pre wrath" rapture, meaning we believe that we will be raptured before the AC comes to power or the wrath of God is poured out on this earth (if not even sooner). "Post trib" believers on the other hand believe that the church will go through the tribulation but will somehow be protected by God through it but part of that involves them preparing for it now by storing up supplies and having a place to hide or what have you...The debate between these two beliefs has been going on for a long time but never have I seen an actual "debate" held between representatives of each side going head to head on it but that is what the above links are to.Stan Johnson, the leader of Prophecy Club is one of the leading proponents of the post trib view and has criticized pre trib Christians as deceived and false prophets etc. But when given the chance to defend his position he seemed embarrassingly inept. (Though, we don't actually get to hear his speeches because the other guy said he never addressed the subject but spoke on things not pertaining to the rapture at all so he doesn't include that and we do have to take his word for that... just saying, but from what we do see of Johnson, I feel I can trust the word of his opponent. Stan refused to answer the questions on the rapture put to him but said instead that he had an agenda of his own that he wanted to speak on...)I don't know who this man (Darrell Dumas) is that debates him but I'd say he won this one.I have to say I agree with Frank Molver about this Stan Johnson http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/sep2013/frankm99.htmthat while there have been some good speakers on the Prophecy Club, as always discernment is needed over all.
