Rowina,Bless your heart--We're so sorry about the little bunny! :(
(If you do as we do, you've asked to see that little one again soon, because you've put in a special request to have him as part of your own "warren" :) We hope that our Lord --in His Love-- will bless our modest ranch home there--in heaven and then on the new earth--with many, many little guys.John and I married at 48 and 50, respectively, so didn't have children together...but these furkids of ours are a such a big part of the joy of each day
(Our special indoor kids--and the outdoor kids, as well!)
We live across from a dry wash, and there used to be many cottontails for us to watch---delighting our hearts. We've had a good monsoon (rainy) season her in AZ, so fewer need to search for their greens. We think, too, that many were killed--or, preferably, displaced to a safer area---by our Monument wildfire last year. We pray they have a different habitat now!
(We did see a sweet cottontail just yesterday, relaxing on someone's lawn, a little later in the AM.)We've felt that God has sent us cottontails, too, as a sign. My Mom went Home in 2001; she loved the Lord so, and was also a bunny-Mom-extraordinaire---She loved the little ones so much! When I drove past her home the AM after the funeral, on our way home to MI, I decided I just couldn't stop to pick out anything I might want, as I didn't think I could bear being in the house---no longer HOME, without her there....
We continued down the busy road just a half-mile or so when we saw a cottontail slowly hop across the road, ahead of us....at 10:30 AM. With tears in my eyes, I told John, "This definitely is a sign from the Lord---Mom's safely Home, and with all of her bunnnies again"
Rowina, we've just got to "look you up" when we all get Home----'Praying with you that it won't be even 6 months!! YEA, Lord!!YSIC,
