Why are the 7 X 7 and 62 X 7 added together when a division is clearly noted?

Why in verse 26 is after 62 X 7 and not 69 X 7 disclosing the Lord"s death?
Word “anointed one” indicating the Lord’s coming is clearly noted in both 7 X 7 and 62 X 7?
 

Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.

And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off (death), and shall have nothing

The scriptures are quite clear the 7 x 7 are not in play here but are to be fullfilled far into the future. No biblical scriptures or historical documents by the early church fathers mention the 7 x 7 period of years. Teachers today simply add the 49 and 434 years together and made historical time to fit the theory.

Now to the future fullfillment of 7 x 7 or 49 years

Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks.

The glorius coming of the Lord is understood by the rebuilding of Jerusalem at some future date.  The prophecy concerns Jerusalem. In the spring of 1967 during the six day war Jerusalem was returned to Israel!

1967 + 49 years = 2016

You may say that is a long way off but in my understanding the tribulation must begin this year in 2012. Much more info concerning this prophecy will be told from the creation story. For we cannot understand the end without understanding the beginning.
