Thank you, Edwina, for sharing your story about your dog, Daisy.  I know the Lord inspired you to send it because on the very day I read it, our dog, a collie also named Daisy, had to be put down.  Your letter was a confirmation and a comfort.  My son, through the Holy Spirit, penned the following writing about our loss which, I hope, may be of comfort to others as your letter was to us:
 
She is now in a better place,
Where she can run
Where she can bark
Where the dew of her youth she now enjoys.
She is now in a better place
Where the Lord Himself watches over her,
And where Jesus Himself takes care of her.
She was ours, and she forever will be ours,
But now she is with Him,
And she is ours more now than ever because she is with Him.
She is now in a better place,
Where she can meet the rest of our family,
Where her joy shall be complete,
Because she is Christ’s, now, too.
She is in a better place,
A place without sickness and pain,
A place where Life truly reigns,
A place where she can feel the Father’s loving embrace.
Truly she is in a better Place.
God is truly wonderful and lets us know how much He cares with "little" signs, wonders and confirmations all around us!
