I think the Lord gave me some insight on the material I posted found here:
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/sep2012/clay97-1.htm
my statement
"Two of the three eagles were destroyed."
is what I'm looking at.
This verse mentions two Eagles that were destroyed:
2 Samuel 1:23
"Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions."
God refers to Saul and Jonathan as two eagles that died. The were both killed in battle. Saul was the father to Jonathan. Jonathan was David's best friend.
go here for a word-for-word number breakdown on that verse:
http://www.biblewheel.com/GR/GR_Database.asp?bnum=10&cnum=1&vnum=23
notice that Jonathan's in-text hebrew value =
527
It's like following a path through a forest. God went before and notched a tree at certain places along the way. In those trees He carved the number 527.
I have my own theory about these two men. I think it's possible that ...
Saul = England
Jonathan = USA
The people that came to America from England were here to establish English colonies. So, in a sense, a father/son relationship.
if the above types are correct, then typologically
David = present day Israel.
That's not hard to grasp as the USA (Jonathan) has been Israel's (David's) best friend since it's rebirth.
Like Saul and Jonathan, who were both killed in the same battle, it might be reasonable to conjecture that the USA and England are also both killed in the same battle in the future.
"Two of the eagles were destroyed."
