"To Nicole and doves
re: the human spirit - fallen/NOT"
While I respect your views and enjoy your posts, I have to
disagree 100 percent with the perception our spirit is part
fallen angel!
First off angels fallen or not are NOT CREATED IN THE Image
and likeness of God. Only human beings are.
We were created with a spirit, soul and body. (1 Thessalonians
5:23). Btw, it irks me when preachers in particular
reverse the scripture by saying we are body, soul and (lastly)
spirit. And I will explain why shortly.
It is our soul that is fallen.
Our spirit is an empty container, an empty vessel before we
are born AGAIN. Before we are born AGAIN, in newness of
LIFE, our soul is hungry and thirsty for GOD, our
Creator. So while people try to fill it with everything
else under the sun, it is not until the Lord Jesus via His
Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us, that the empty
feeling, the hunger, the thirst satisfied.
And where in our being does the SPIRIT of the LORD, the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit come and reside in?
He comes into our spirit!!! Not our soul.
Why? because our spirit is the only place in
our being that is not contaminated with sin. It is our
soul and body that have the sinful nature. GOD and
SIN cannot cohabitate together.
Once the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our spirit
and our spirit overflows with the Living Word of God, then His
SPIRIT and TRUTH overflow into our mind, emotion and will
which make up the SOUL. It is our soul that is
transformed and lastly, it is our outer shell, our human body
that will be transfigured. Just as Paul prays in 1
Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of Peace sanctify you
entirely, make you Holy in every way. May your spirit,
soul and body be preserved complete without blame at the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
---spirit, soul and body---
The old Testament gives us an example of our spirit, soul and
body as it correlates to the Temple of God. In the very
center of the court is the Holy of holies where the presence
of God is. The inner court correlates to our soul and
the outer court to our physical body.
When we get saved through repentance and the cleansing Blood
of the Lamb, the Lord comes inside us by-passing our physical
body and our soul. He lands in our spirit where there is
no sin. It is an empty glass waiting to be filled with
the Water of Life. He does not land in our mortal body
first, or in our soul. He does not move from our body,
into our soul then finally into our spirit. No. He
is like a rocket. He goes through our body and soul at
warp speed landing and making His Home in our innermost being,
our spirit. Once there, as we learn to walk in spirit,
He moves into our soul and renews our mind including our
emotions and our will.
Why is it that so many religious people are not saved?
They pray. They read the bible, or at best go to church
and hear the Word. They believe in God. They
believe Jesus died on the cross, shed His Blood, resurrected
and even believe He is coming again. Many even
think they are saved or at least believe they are going to
heaven.
But why no transformation? Why are their minds not
renewed??
Because the SPIRIT of the. LORD does not reside in their
spirit.
Where inside us does the Holy Spirit give us revelation?
In our spirit!!!
Job 32:8 tells us There is a Spirit in man and the Inspiration
of the Almighty gives us understanding.
Jesus told the woman at the well: an hour is coming and
now is when the TRUE worshippers shall worship the Father --
in spirit -- and TRUTH.
How do we worship Him?? In spirit. And where is His
Spirit? That 's right!! In our spirit.
Jesus goes on to tell the woman at the well "It is these kind
of people the Father seeks to be His worshippers. God is
SPIRIT and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit
and in Truth.
We worship the Lord in our spirit and we walk how??? -IN
spirit. We walk in spirit.
The spirit of man is the LAMP of the Lord, searching all the
innermost parts (the mind, emotion and the will) of his
being. (Proverbs 20:27)
Now did we know God before we were formed in our mother's
womb? A resounding YES!! For we read in
Ephesians, we were CHOSEN before the foundation of the world.
I do not know if we were baby like angels. But I am
certain I am nor ever was "part fallen angel"!!! Those
are Nephelim. And I am not a product of some fallen
angel and some ungodly woman.
I inherited the sin nature from Adam and Eve, but am born
AGAIN of GOD by the Spirit and the Word washed and cleansed by
the Precious Blood of Jesus.
Btw...angels have no blood either. That is why they can
not die. Jesus died because He had BLOOD, the Blood of
His Father. And when our mortal bodies die, our blood
stops circulating. And we are overcomers by the Blood of
the Lamb and by the WORD of our testimony.
Sorry if I went way too long but someone (Kleck mainly) pushed
a hot button!!!!
Blessings,
