"re Frank Mover ... crooked board"

HOW TO STRAIGHTEN A CROOKED BOARD

Once, back in the days of wood and true craftsmen, an amateur walked into a boatyard seeking a nice, straight piece of white oak stock.

No problem. The shipwright plucked a warped, twisted junky looking plank with the bark still on it from the pile and proceeded to the bandsaw.

"No, no!", the amateur protested. "i want s straight piece,"

The shipwright said not a word as he sighted down the board and ran it through the bandsaw in a curved cut.

Before the amazed eyes of the amateur, the board audibly snapped from warped and crooked to straight.

The shipwright, from long experience, knew how to read the board and, thereby, cut the board so as to relieve the contained stresses and tensions.

So does God.
