"Daniel 9:27"
Hi John and 5doves. I’ve been a reader of your
site for a number of years, but this is my first post.
I just want to express my point of view on Daniel 9:27.
In my opinion, the “covenant with many” may not be with regards
to nations, peace or warfare, but the covenant may be the
permission to resume animal sacrifices on, or adjacent to, the
Temple Mount.
This point of view is confirmed by part two of the text, which
reads, “he shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease”.
Continuing the theme, the “abomination of desolation” would have
to also be a non-kosher offering, or an idol (an android clone
of the anti-Christ???), which would invite severe retaliation,
fighting and even warfare against the one who set up the
“abomination of desolation”.
This struggle would continue until the end of the seven-year
time period, at which time the desolator (the anti-Christ) would
suffer his demise.

Welcome to the Doves, Andrew!
