Several days ago, I made my morning walk to the local c-store to get a fresh cup of hot coffee, and when I got to the parking lot, there was one vehicle there, pulled alongside the pumps.....an no one in the SUV. As I got closer, I noticed the license plate (New York) GAL 3:13.....just then a man came out of the c-store (with his morning coffee in hand) so I said, excuse me sir, but what does Galatians 3:13 say.....he told me the verse in the King James.......but here it is in The Message

The Message (MSG)

 ^13-14Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham's blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God's life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it.

We talked for a few minutes, and then both went on our way. When I got back home, I impressed to call a good friend and tell him what had happened on my morning coffee run. After hearing the verse and chapter that was on this man's license plate, my friend John began to chuckle.
He then told me a story about how significant those numbers are to him, he sees them all the time, but also how a couple of years ago (he is a school bus driver) he had been praying for something other than a full size bus, as well as a different bus route. He proceeded to tell me that his prayers had been answered a couple of years ago when him that his request for a new route had been approved, and that it was a route that had a much smaller bus, just as he had been praying.

Then, last night, I had dinner at a Chinese restaurant with a friend who is presently unsaved, and at dinner, I had been sharing with him many stories of God's supernatural interventions and blessings in my life over the past 15 or more years. We left dinner and headed towards our town, he went a different way than usual, and even commented that he had knowingly chosen to take this different route home. About half way home, I looked ahead at the car in front of us, and ....you guessed it,...there was the gray SUV from a few mornings earlier right in front of us, with the bright blue letters shining in the night....GAL 3:13...!!!

I guess the Lord knew my friend might need a little demonstration of working in our lives, as I got to share with my friend how I had seen that exact same plate and vehicle, just a few days earlier, and how it had blessed my other friend by reminding him of God's faithfulness in our lives.
