It was a curious thing that BO came out to specifically say.  However remember James 2:19 that says even the demons believe in God and tremble and also the passage where Jesus delivered the man possessed with the legion of demons and the demons said what have we to do with you Jesus, son of God? So they acknowledge but don’t worship Him.
