What is the "Confirming of the Covenant with Israel and the many" of Daniel 9:27 that starts the Final 7 Years?
This is a very, very controversial question and one that is very difficult to attempt to answer. I have written much about this controversial and prophetic verse in previous years. I really do not have the time, at this late date of late Sat. evening, to try to locate those past posts, so I am going to have to just wing it and pray to be led by the Holy Spirit. What I am about to write is only a possibility, even though I would like to think that it is more than that. I am expecting to be in Heaven JUST BEFORE this Sudden Nuclear Destruction takes place. I am not sure if the Lord is going to allow us to know any details of this Sudden Nuclear Destruction because we expect to ESCAPE it in the pre-Tribulation Rapture.
Daniel 9:27 is so controversial that many Bible scholars and watchmen believe that this is NOT the event that starts the Final 7 Years. Many believe that the 1st half of this 7-Year covenant has already been fulfilled, with the 3 and one-half years of the life of Christ. I am not going to try to prove their theory to be false, only to say that I do not agree with it. In post #2 today, I wrote about the possible 7-Day Warning that is probably coming up on Monday, or Tuesday, of this week. That possible Warning is the Peace agreement with Israel and Gaza. Could this be the Dan. 9:27 confirming of the covenant with Israel and the many, especially seeing how very, very close we are to the start of the Tribulation?
I am in agreement with most Bible Prophecy Watchers that the Daniel 9:27 is THE event that starts the Tribulation. That is because it is for one week (7 Biblical Years of 360 days each), or 2520 days. It is also the event that introduces the Antichrist, the false Christ, to the world (those who are left behind at the 1st Rapture). However, I am not in agreement that this week's peace initiative is going to lead to the Daniel 9:27 confirming of the covenant. Instead, I believe that it will be the Sudden Nuclear Destruction that brings about this "confirming of the covenant" of Daniel 9:27.
For one thing, this peace process is only the first step in a multi-step peace process that will takes weeks to be finalized, if it even is ever finalized. The 2nd reason is that there is NOTHING in this verse, or context, that even suggests anything about peace. The third reason is that this would make Donald Trump the Antichrist. I remain convinced, for multiple reasons, that Barack Hussein Obama, is going to become the Antichrist. See many of my previous posts as to why. Also, see many of John Tng's multiple posts for many more reasons why the Antichrist is going to almost certainly be Obama, not Trump, who is hated by the New World Order, who is going to present the Antichrist to the world. There are just as many reasons why I do not believe that Donald Trump can be the Antichrist, as there are reasons why I believe that Obama will become the Antichrist. I could go on forever with this topic, but I must now proceed with the main topic of this post, which is the meaning of Daniel 9:27.
As I have written in past decades, my study of this extremely key and important verse in Bible Prophecy shows that there is really no need to call this a peace treaty, even though that is the common belief among Bible Prophecy Watchers, and almost all Christians. "Confirming" in this verse means "strengthening". Therefore, the correct meaning of "confirming of the covenant" means to strengthen a pre-existing covenant, or agreement. It may, or may not, involve peace.
Let's examine the scenario that causes Daniel 9:27 to take place. It is the SUDDEN NUCLEAR DESTRUCTION that will have just threatened the very existence of the world. The "unspeakable" nuclear unfoldings has just become an apocalyptic reality. The world, what will be left of it, cannot allow this to ever happen again. The nuclear destruction must immediately and permanently cease to exist any longer. Nuclear disarmament is the reason for Daniel 9:27. So, strengthening a previous disarmament agreement among the world's nuclear powers would seem to be the almost certain primary purpose of Daniel 9:27.
Tonight, I googled this topic of nuclear disarmament to see if the world has such an agreement. Here is what I discovered. I challenge you to also google this topic because what I am about to reveal to you is only a very brief description of what I have read. The title is "The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty". Here are just a couple of the many paragraphs about worldwide nuclear disarmament:
"Widespread international concern about the spiraling number of nuclear weapons in the world led to the establishment of the Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1968, a United Nations treaty which sought to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons and bring about eventual disarmament. 190 countries signed onto this treaty."
Another page reads like this, "The United Nations adopted an historic international treaty banning nuclear weapons in July of 2017. The NEW treaty makes it illegal under international law for signatories to develop, test, produce, manufacture, acquire, possess, stockpile, transfer, use, or threaten to use nuclear weapons."
My suggestion to you is that the one-world government, the New World Order elite, and the Antichrist, are going to strengthen a pre-existing treaty, or nuclear agreement, to make sure that every country is going to agree that nuclear weapons can NEVER be used again and that all countries must completely agree to destroy all of their nuclear weapons. This, in my opinion, is probably what the "confirming of the covenant" of Daniel 9:27 is going to be about. There exists right now nuclear agreements, or covenants, that need to be strengthened. If any country wants to be part of the New World Order, the one-world government, they MUST agree to this strengthening of a pre-existing nuclear covenant, a worldwide nuclear disarmament program.
Israel, as a nuclear power, is included in Daniel 9:27, along with the "many", which probably means the "many" nuclear powers in the world. Daniel 9:27 happens at the very beginning of the Final 7 Years, which MAY mean just hours after the Rapture/Sudden Nuclear Destruction. Another possibility is that it could be a few days, rather than hours. However, the only way that I see this possibility becoming a reality is if the Tribulation ends on Feast of Tabernacles, rather than the Day of Atonement, Sept. 14, 2032. That would give the Antichrist and one-world government, a few more days after October 20--21st of this year, to fulfill the 2520 days, or 7 Jewish Years.
