This was my letter to an astronomer asking why Earth's orbit is so cattywampus, violating astronomy's planetary creation laws > Of course, we Christians know why, but I'm asking them to explain it. Dear Dr Tamatha, One thing that seems to make no sense is that while both the Earth's and Sun's axis are always aligned, the Earth orbits in such a way going way above than below the Solar ecliptic, this giving us seasons. This seems to violate how planets are supposed to be created by an accretion disk, and forming around suns. Our string of planets are supposed to form up in an accretion disk exactly on the Sun's equator, and not all cattywampus, some 24 degrees off! How does astronomy explain this? Thanks, Lewis Brackett, an amateur astronomer in San Diego.
