Hello Mike Plunkett, John and Doves,Thank you for your letter on Shemini Atzeret. High watch day for me, for sure! God set this day aside as a holy day for a reason. Could it be for the Rapture?I've wondered about the phrase 'in/on/at the last day'.Jesus said He would raise up every one who "seeth the Son and believeth on Him" "at the last day." John 6:49. And Martha said she knew Lazarus would be raised again "on the last day." John 11:24The 'last day' of what? A month? A season? An appointed time? Shemini Atzeret is 'the last and greatest day of the Feast'. And it is the last day set aside by God. The last sacred assembly. Leviticus 23:36.Could that be THE last day?Jesus observed Shemini Atzeret and it's referred to as 'the great day' or 'the greatest day' of the Feast of Tabernacles: "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink." John 7:37 Jesus, also said, on that day, "Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: "Streams of living water will flow from within him." John 7:37"Last" is the Greek word 'eschate' - it's the same Greek word used for 'the last trump' in 1 Corinthians 15:52.Others have also written about Shemini Atzeret as being a 'possible High Watch Day' for the Rapture. Luis Vega comes to mind as one example. Here on 5Doves, the Fall Feasts of the Lord along with Shemini Atzeret that God has set aside, have always been on the Watchers list as possible High Watch Days.On the Chabad calendar, this day is October 13/14 or 22 Tishrei.Maybe this year!!!! Hopes are high!Mike, I like the line AI wrote: "The ultimate fulfillment of Shemini Atzeret can be seen as foreshadowing the new heaven and new earth described in Revelation, a greater and eternal creation where God will dwell with His people."Maybe after the Rapture, some 'left behind' will ask AI 'what happened to the people?' Looks like AI 'could' give the correct answer: The Rapture.Keep looking up!Maranatha!Chance
