Hello Bruce,

 

So sorry to hear that Suzanne is having such a hard time, on top of the diabetes complications and spinal cancer - she has now had a stroke.  And you wrote that she is in much pain.  My heart goes out to her and you. Such a long time to be so ill.  I remember your letter from February.

Prayers Needed

 

A few years ago a friend's brother was dying of cancer.  All of the family had been called to gather in his room to be with him at the end of his life.  All were waiting for the inevitable.  My friend texted me a week later and said, "He's still here.  We thought he'd be gone by now."

 

A few months later we had lunch together.  She finished the story about her brother.  He'd been in a coma for another week after she had texted me.

 

The family kept waiting and then decided they must be keeping him from 'passing over' - so his wife leaned down and whispered to him, "It's OK to go."  He then, to everyone's surprise, opened his eyes and looked at her and said, "He's not ready for me yet."  Then he closed his eyes and two days later he had gone Home to be with the Lord.

 

We all have a time set aside by God.  All who love Him have a Home He has prepared for them. 

 

I pray your wife's 'time' is scheduled for the Rapture - but if not, I pray the Lord comes to meet her and take her to Heaven.  I pray her passing will be peaceful and surrounded by angels and she feels the love and joy that awaits her.

 

And IF she does go before the Rapture comes, I pray, Bruce, that your time of sorrow will be very short here!  And the Rapture ends all the tears and grief.  As God will wipe it all away.

 

What a blessed day that will be!  "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away."  Revelation 21:4

 

The Lord bless you for your loving care and concern for your wife.  May He give you strength and wisdom and comfort.

 

As John wrote, "Hang on a little longer."  Jesus is our Hope - He is all we have.

 

God is still on the throne.  And prayer changes things.
