Hello John and Doves,
This is a very sobering
interview.
Glenn Diesen (Norwegian
professor of Russian international affairs) interviewed Col.
(ret.) Douglas Macgregor about the Ukraine war escalating
into war between NATO and Russia
Check out Col.
Macgregor's comments on Israel below.
And I included Hal
Turner's recent article on this topic.
The latest buzz with
Ukraine is President Trump 'mulling' over sending Tomahawk
missiles to Ukraine to use against Russia on Russian
territory. Russia sees this 'as a red line the U.S.
doesn't want to cross.' Delivery could take
months. And they may never be used, once shipped.
The U.S. needs to stand
down in Ukraine and back away. We don't need a war
with Russia. Let Russia and Ukraine figure this
out. China and Iran (and maybe Venezuela) are hot
enough.

My notes:
Glenn
Diesen:
Russia has been plowing
through Ukraine's collapsing defensive lines.
There is now very open
panic in NATO as we seem to be losing this war.
The response from NATO
has been reckless escalation.
The US is now sending
long-range arms that Ukraine can use as they please.
The British are openly
encouraging Ukraine to use British missiles to strike inside
Russia.
France has already sent
troops to Ukraine.
The line between proxy
war and direct war is becoming increasingly thin if it
hasn't been crossed already.
Russia has responded now
by calling in the French and British ambassadors to the
Foreign Ministry.
Russia has announced a
tactical nuclear missile exercise. - the lead
NATO countries can no
longer attack Russia without retaliation.
My impression from
Moscow is that this is not a bluff, that we are very close
to a Russian military retaliation against NATO countries.
He asked Col. Macgregor
how he sees this situation moving forward.
Colonel
Macgregor:
The Ukrainian army is in
worse condition than the British soldiers at Dunkirk.
This war is lost. It has been lost for a long
time. The Ukrainians are in complete disarray.
And Russia is now moving west.
Russia hoped for a
ceasefire and settlement.
Russia is going to keep
the territory where they are now to the Dnieper River.
Russia has no choice as
the West has made it very clear they will not talk to them
or negotiate with them.
That means Russia has to
accomplish their original goal...and they will have to go
into Kiev and clean out the puppet government we set up
there.
We are throwing in
everything in a last ditch effort based more on hope than
reality that somehow it's going to make a difference.
The difference we will
make is - if these long range strike weapons (like the
Torus, the Shadow Strike etc used by the British, French and
Germans) are actually used against Russian targets on
Russian territory and they kill Russian citizens (in uniform
or not), Russia has stated very clearly that they have the
right to treat France, Germany, Britain, anyone else who
contributed to this, as a co belligerents.
The Iskander missiles
(Russian mobile short-range ballistic missile system) have
the capability of striking targets from the Arctic Circle to
southern Portugal. They have no shortage of
missiles. But they prefer not to do this.
He thinks the British
and French are both lost in a world that doesn't
exist. They think that Russia is backward and
incapable of responding. Russia is a powerful country with
an abundance of resources and endless production capability
when it comes to military equipment. It now has the
largest and arguably the best battle hardened army anywhere
in the world. And they have learned and improved their
fighting ability in this war. Add their rocket forces,
their strategic forces, their aircraft, manned and unmanned,
all of these are in a very high state of readiness.
Final point is
this: the Russians have always said they would not be
the first to use nuclear weapons, but the Russians are
watching us and they have slowly but surely begun to
convince themselves that we're serious about invading
Ukraine. They see forces gathering in places like
Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Moldova....they see this as
'crazy' and they wonder how they can warn NATO off and
persuade them that they (Russia) are indeed serious.
One way is to make it abundantly clear is that the warheads
can go very quickly from conventional warheads to nuclear
warheads.
A tactical nuclear
warhead is usually around 5 kilotons or less.
Russia considers
territory they have gained in the war as part of Russia now.
And they will not tolerate anything trying to change
this. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov has given very
straight statements about this - this is very dangerous
ground. They will begin with NATO bases, British and
French...and they will not stop there - they will strike the
British Isles and within France.
London and Washington
are not taking the Russians seriously. We have
abandoned our red lines over and over. The
Russians have not abandoned their red lines. They
have consistently said NO NATO combat forces or long range
missile systems in Ukraine. Or NATO will end up at
war with Russia. The Russians are prepared to
fight. We are not.
Glenn Diesen:
To what extent is NATO
already at war with Russia besides supplying the weapons,
the training, the intelligence, war planning? The
Ukrainians are not trained on the advanced missile weapons
systems. To what extent are NATO military personnel
actually 'pulling the trigger' on these systems?
Colonel
Macgregor:
They have been for well
over a year. The long range missile systems are
controlled by the British, French, Germans, Americans, etc.
The Russians are aware of this. The Russians have
refrained until recently from systematically targeting NATO
troops on the ground (soldiers, advisors to maintain and
operate these systems); We have cells on the ground in
Germany, Poland, etc that are providing the
intelligence, the reconnaissance and surveillance
capabilities from our space based assets and high altitude
assets to the Ukrainians. That's why the Russians have
been very careful about massing forces and have moved very
deliberately as they know we can see what they do with great
clarity. Just like they can see what we do with great
clarity.
There are at least
600,000 dead Ukrainian soldiers and a million plus
casualties.
Either we cease and
desist and back away or we risk a direct confrontation with
Russia. And that confrontation will have harsh
consequences for us economically, along with disruptions in
supply chains, the destruction of energy infrastructure - a
whole range of things that could happen.
This is not something
that Moscow wants. But Moscow is signaling that they
can take on war with NATO. The only response
that we can have since we are so conventionally weak is a
nuclear one. The Russians have said that if
you use a nuclear weapon we will respond. Putin has
said that we will all die, but the Russians will go to
Heaven as martyrs. He's made this very clear.
We would be very
stupid to breach the nuclear threshold and question the
resolve of the Russians to act.
NATO leaders have been
out of touch with reality the moment this war began.
And they have been lying to their populations. How
many people in Europe actually know the truth? They
think Putin woke up one morning and said I think I'll invade
Ukraine. This is absurd. Nothing could be
further from the truth. He was goaded and provoked
into this as the Russian people were.
This needs to end.
But some people have made outrageous statements and they
can't retreat from stupid positions. We saw this with
Johnson and Vietnam. We are stupid staying in Ukraine
and pressing this issue because that's a guarantee that not
only will the rest of Ukraine be destroyed but we will end
up at war with a power that's not really our enemy.
The media is obediently
repeating stupidity every day..lie after lie about what is
really happening on the ground in Ukraine.
We need to get out and
stop all military aid to Ukraine. The Russians are
clearly in the victorious position. Russia controlled most
of that area for the last 300 or 400 years. No one in
Western Europe or the U.S. had designs on any of this area.
Glenn Diesen:
Russia was goaded into
this. The media has totally ignored this. This
war actually began in 2014. ((I'll add - remember the
colour revolution/coup in Ukraine - with Obama and Victoria
Nuland??)) The new Intelligence Chief of the new Ukrainian
government worked with MI6 and CIA in a covert war with
Russia; that was reported in the New York times
recently. NATO has made it clear that Ukraine will
join NATO when the war is over. This is considered to be an
existential threat by Russia. As NATO shuts the door
to diplomacy, the only acceptable outcome to the Russian's
is victory. With this huge escalation with the
long-range missile systems and sending in troops, it's
either the West will be successful and Russia would
retaliate with nuclear weapons. Or we are
unsuccessful, which seems much more likely, but we
nonetheless risk retaliation and of course not just the
destruction of Ukraine, but the collapse of NATO and
possible nuclear war.
What is the plan for
Washington? Gradually beating the Russians or...?
Colonel
Macgregor:
There are two things -
go back to the remarks by David Cameron - who said Russia
could end this by withdrawing their forces. This is a
dangerous comment that defies reason. In the disputed
part of Ukraine - they are ethnic Russians. And we,
the West, are within inches of a catastrophic financial
crisis and economic downturn. We need to
cut back on spending, but politicians won't do this because
that takes away their power. We need to stop
pretending our resources are limitless. The population
is angry. There is a palpable sense of fear.
People know things are going to get worse. Trying to
distract from these problems with the Ukraine war will not
work. Russia will destroy Europe. The US will
not escape unscathed. Our army is DEI, weak. The
US is delusional about this. The Europeans are delusional
about this. They need to wake up, but they won't until
something bad happens.
If we continue to press,
the Russians are quite serious, they will use whatever
weapons they have at their disposal and if that doesn't work
they will detonate a tactical nuclear weapon on Ukrainian
soil against a concentration of Ukrainian and NATO forces to
make the point - they've had it - no more. n Russia is
showing: 'Press further and you will reap the
whirlwind'.
Glenn Diesen:
The economic, social,
political problems are worse in Europe. Ukraine is
still on the top of the headlines. What about the US?
Colonel
Macgregor on the Middle East/Israel:
The focus in the US is
increasingly on Israel. The Israeli's can't declare
victory - they are caught up in this. There is no way
out of this. Netanyahu is a Jewish supremacist.
There is nothing to stop him in Gaza. A few days ago,
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia survived an assassination
attempt. This is just the beginning. The
Arabs/Muslims are sick of the people that rule them - they
see them as weak, immoral, and utterly failing in their
obligations as Muslims to protect the people Israel is
killing. For the Emirates, Jordanians, Saudis, Egyptians -
the leaderships are all very worried. Erdogan in
Turkey just had an election and he didn't do well. The
Turkish population is enraged about what Israel is doing to
the Palestinians and Erdogan is failing to act.
The Shiite Crescent -
militia in Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria- they are heroes
at the moment. And also in Iran. Netanyahu would
like to end the war in Gaza to focus on Iran. This is
very dangerous for Israel.
The USS Eisenhower
battle group was on it's way home and was turned back to the
Red Sea. We are standing by because we anticipate a
serious problem. Nothing looks good anywhere.
Things could blow up suddenly. There is the underlying
belief that 'war doesn't come to our soil' - ' war is
always fought somewhere else'. There will be a rude
awakening for some.
Glenn Diesen:
NATO is now
bringing the war into Russia. Russia will respond
and bring the war into NATO. We are
looking at war with Russia, with China and in the Middle
East.
Colonel
Macgregor:
Leaders first and
foremost duty is the survival of their state and
people. And not pushing the Russians out of
Ukraine. Financially we are on very thin ice - our
debt is unsustainable. A financial collapse could
force us out of war. The Chinese own a large amount of
our treasuries - if sold rapidly overnight - this would
crash the US, Europe and Japan. We are in a bad
position. We have no sense of limitation. A
financial collapse would be better than something like
Armageddon.
(end notes)
Hal Turner has
an article on war with Russia:
"Former US Army Colonel
Douglas Macgregor cautioned that should Ukraine deploy US
provided Tomahawk missiles, it might draw the United States
into a direct conflict with Russia "within hours."
This crosses a "critical red line".
Russia responded to the
US possibility of sending Tomahawks to Ukraine with
"American-supplied missile, guided by American satellites,
will be treated by Russia as an attack by the United States
on Russia."
"Even more horrifying,
Russia declared that since the Tomahawk can be armed with
either conventional or nuclear warheads, Russia sees the
radar silhouette of a Tomahawk missile coming at Russia,
they will have no choice but to treat the missile as nuclear
and launch (their nukes)-on-warning."
I hope President Trump
backs down from this and stops taking advice from warmongers
in D.C.
And links by KS Rajan:
Airspace violations,
cyberattacks, sabotage - EU says Russia is waging a
"targeted gray zone campaign against Europe."
"If we hesitate to act,
the gray zone will only expand."
Conclusion:
Europe should have
prepared itself starting a decade ago - they are long behind
the eight ball at this point. And Ukraine has sucked
many countries dry of ammunition, etc. Even the U.S.
feels the effect of the Ukraine war and Israel's wars.
The U.S. certainly isn't ready for war either!
This is all in God's
hands. Maybe a nuclear war with Russia will be what
results in Israel facing Gog and his hordes without allies.
Wars are coming...hope
the Rapture comes first!
Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem!
