"RE: Steve M: 09.29.24: time travel & the future is known"

Steve,
Thank you for your two letters.
I met man here in town who said that he had died, went to heaven, but was allowed to return, and resuscitated.
Apparently his life changed dramatically after that, and he tells people about Jesus.
I've decided to not judge his account either way, something obviously happened to him.
Paul mentioned someone who had gone to heaven, and it might have been himself, but it was not lawful for him to tell what he heard.
John was brought to heaven and back, possibly a number of times, while on Patmos, when receiving the book of Revelation.

As far as someone claiming that they went to hell, and came back, I think only Jesus has done that:

Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Considering knowing the future, there seems to be a handful of different ways:
1) Being outside of time, knowing the end from the beginning - that is how the LORD is
2) Being brought to the future and back, which may have happened to John and Ezekiel
3) Allowed to see something in the future, as the prophets of the LORD did in dreams and visions
4) Being warned, like Joseph, or the wise men
5) Prescient thoughts
6) A good guess
7) Time travel

I'm still convinced that no person could be trusted with such power as time travel
Not even the devil has anywhere near that kind of power
