Initially, Fay brought up her
understanding, that the women in Genesis 6 were
victims.
Then I proposed that maybe the women
were willing participants.
Then, in your letter, the women appear
to be the perpetrators.
These three are very different from
one another.
A similar change of view has been
going on in the US.
For a long time, women were given the
benefit of the doubt, and were generally believed to
be victims in crimes like these.
By the turn of the recent century, the
claims of women were considered only very
suspiciously.
Progressive views began to consider
that the claims of the women were possibly
afterthoughts.
The women were considered to have
probably been willing, at least initially.
So, unless there were eye witnesses,
or CCTV footage, nothing further comes of it, and the
woman's reputation is tarnished.
Now, there are areas of the country,
where the view is completely changing, in particular
where there is muslim influence, e.g. Michigan,
Minnesota, etc.
Where, if a crime like this happens,
the woman is automatically considered the seductress,
and the man the victim.
This is a strange parallel, to say the
least.
