Daniel
dreamed about two ‘Little Horns’ in chapters 8 and
7.
Many
Christians
are unaware that there are TWO different ‘little horns’ mentioned in the Book of
Daniel that are enemies
of God and His people?So
here is some
information about them: basically a ‘horn’ in the
dictionary refers to
the ‘horn of an animal’
which
symbolises strength and status.The word
‘horn’
used in scripture is a ‘metaphor’ for a strong leader or king,
or a smaller descendant
part of a larger ‘beast’ kingdom.
The first ‘little horn’ emerges in Daniel
8:5‒9, where the symbolism
of a domestic goat
is used for
the Macedonian-Grecian
Empire
as the starting point for the first ‘little horn’to
be revealed… The male goat with a ‘notable horn’ in
Daniel 8:21
represents the King
of Greece—Alexander
the Great—when after his death, his empire was replaced
by four ‘notable horn’
kingdoms… toward the four winds of heaven (Dan. 8:8).
This was when
Alexanders’ squabbling rival-Generals divided his Empire into
four kingdoms: Cassander
took Greece and Macedonia to the west; Lysimachus
took Thrace, Asia
Minor to the north; Seleucus took
greater Syria, Babylon and Persia to the east; and
Ptolomy took
Egypt to the south. This occurred at the close of the 4th
Century BC. Thus Daniel records this period:
Therefore
the male goat
grew every great; but when he became strong, the large
horn was broken,
and in place of it four notable ones came up
toward the four winds of
heaven. And out of one of them came a little hornwhich grew exceedingly great
toward the south, toward
the east, and toward the Glorious Land. (Dan. 8:8‒9)
This particular ‘little horn’ became known
throughout history as Antiochus
Epiphanes IVwho
arose from the
Seleucid Dynasty of rulers, who desecrated the Temple in
Jerusalem in 167-8 BC,
and persecuted the Jews living in Judaea by Hellenising their
culture and
religion (Dan. 8:8‒12); but he died in 164 BC in IRAN.

The
second‘little
horn’came out of the ‘fourth animal/beast’ Roman
Empire (Dan. 7:7‒8),long after
Rome had ‘divided’ and eventually devolved into ten
smaller nation/states).
It
was different from all the beasts that were before it, and
it had ten horns.
I
was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up
among them… (Dan.
7:7b‒8a)
However,
Daniel
implies that—at the time when the second‘little
horn’ appears to
persecute the ‘Saints of the Most High’ i.e., Daniel’s
people (Dan.
7:25a)—the Jews had
no ‘state’, no
polity or army, and therefore no ability to
protect themselves
from the ‘little
horn’ thus, the
saints are given
into his hand for a time and times and half a time.
This ‘helpless period’ occurred right
at the end of the Jewish Diaspora, which included the very
long history
of the Jews’ expulsion from their land, from the 1st
Century onward.
Thus, the Jews were expelled from Jerusalem by the
Romans in AD 70; expelled
from Palestine in AD 132 by Diocletian (after the Bar
Kokhba revolt); they
were expelled from Europe in 500‒1500, where
anti-Semitism was rife from
1800 onward. During the Middle Ages (5‒15th
Centuries) they were persecuted,
and then massacred during the Crusades (11‒13th
Centuries); they
died via Catholic inquisitions in Europe, until the 17th
Century; they afterward continued to be expelled from
multiple European
nations and Arab and Muslim states (beginning from the 8th
Century
onward), including the pogroms in Russia in the
20th
Century, until WWI; then
came the
Holocaust during WWII. This was when the
saints are given into his hand for a time and times and
half a time.
i.e., into the hand of the little horn… Nazi Germany
3rd Reich, led by Hitler their Führer.(cf. Dan.
7:25b)
This
second ‘little horn’ came
from
the fourth beastand his
description is found in Daniel 7:8, 11, 20‒22, 24‒26. The 2nd ‘little
horn’ Hitler
is dead! He was doomed to die when
judgment was passed on him in
Daniel’s ‘preview of the future’ for his people in Dan. 7:26,
and his death was
fulfilled when the ‘body’
remains of the fourth beast3rd
Reich was destroyed by theburning flame in 1945!
BUTafterward …the time came
for the saints to
possess the kingdom. (cf. Dan. 7:22)
A
kingdom shall be given to the people of the Saints of the
Most High forever... (Dan. 7:18 and 27a)
This
occurred just three years
later on May 14th 1948, when the Jews
declared the State of Israel.

Regarding
‘latter day’ enemies of God.The only entity in
scripture (that I can
find) to which the
dragon gives his
power, throne and great authority, is the animal/beast(it)
that manifests
with seven prior ‘head’
iterations
of worldly kingdoms—described in Revelation 13:1‒2—which
existed from Babel to
the SUNNI
OttomanIslamic
Empire… when in 1918 the 7th head
was mortally
wounded by the sword of war, after which it was
abolished and
dismembered in 1922‒1924. Unfortunately, 100 years later it
revived as the Islamic
State a SUNNI Caliphate
in Iraq and Syria, which fulfilled its tenure for 42 months,
June 29, 2014
until December 9, 2017. BUT there is
still an eighth iteration of the animal/beast to come (Rev.
17:11), which will
become active when SHIITE
Iran
mobilises the ‘Axis of Resistance’ N.T.O’s (kings
without kingdoms); when
the ‘four angels’ (kings) bound at the Euphrates (Rev. 9:15,
16:12‒14), preparing
for a day, a month and a year, are released! N.B.There
is no place in scripture where it
says that the dragon (Satan/Devil) gives his power to
either the Antichrist,
or the ‘Little Horn’ who is dead!
So,
there is
absolutely no connection between the historical ‘little horn’ (Führer) that rose up from
the 4th
beast’s tenure, and
the supposed end-time
Antichrist! Daniel
emphatically says
that the [fourth] beast was slain, and its ‘body’ [little
horn]was
destroyed and given to the burning flame!(Dan. 7:11)According to
history’s timeline, this second ‘little
horn’was
the last manifestation of the 4th
beast [Rome in Europe] via Germany’s3rd
Reichattempt
to reinstate the Holy Roman Empire for a thousand years.
Daniel indicates that this
‘little
horn’
was indeed a man
(i.e., the other horn that
had eyes like the
eyes of a man and a mouth
speaking pompous words… whose appearance was greater than his fellows.
(Dan. 7:8b, 20b)
This second ‘little
horn’was
Hitler,
and according to both
Daniel’s timeline and history’s timeline, he
met his end 3 years before God’s ‘initial’ territorial kingdom and dominion was given
to the people, the saints of the Most High, by
the heavenly court
(Dan. 7:9–10, 13–14, 22, 26), after which Daniel says… This is the
end of the account.
The
subject matter
in Daniel 7 has all been written in history, except for Daniel
7:27b—referring
to the Second Coming of One like the Son of
Man—to receive His
kingdom which shall not be destroyed. (Dan. 7:14)when:
His
Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall
serve and obey Him (Dan.
7:27b) during His millennial reign (Rev. 20:4).
