Hello John and Doves,
North Korea is more and more in
the news...and just this year they signed a defense pact
with Russia where each country will "provide immediate
military assistance in the event the other is
attacked. Article 4 states "that should either country
get into a state of war due to an armed aggression, the
other shall immediately provide military and other
assistance with all the means at it disposal."
Will this include Russia and North Korea's nuclear weapons?
Some in the U.S. are seeing this as a 'red line':
Representative Mike Turner is
calling on the U.S. to allow Ukraine to use American weapons
on Russia IF Russia is using North Korean troops in that
war.
He goes even further - "If North
Korean troops were to invade Ukraine's sovereign territory,
the United States needs to seriously consider taking direct
military action against the North Korean troops."
Hard to know exactly what is going
on with these NK troops in Russia. According to
Ukrainian intelligence, Russia will deploy some North Korean
troops into combat zones on October 27, 28.
South Korea Is Not Happy:
South Korea's spy agency, the
National Intelligence Service "said last week that North
Korea had shipped 1,500 soldiers, including special forces
fighters to Russia for training." There are reports of
North Korean soldiers receiving uniforms and equipment at
Russian training grounds.
Russian trained North Korean
soldiers, reportedly, have been sent to the Kursk region in
western Russia. Reports are showing the Russian
soldiers don't look favorably on Chinese soldiers.
Both Russia and North Korea are
denying the movement of North Korean soldiers to Russia for
training or anything else.
South Korea responded to all of
this news by summoning the Russian ambassador with the
message urging "immediate withdrawal of North Korean
troops."
"North and South Korea are
separated by one of the world's most militarized borders and
remain technically in a state of war....Secretary of Defense
Lloyd Austin said...."the movements have generated deep
concern as a potentially serious escalation." "It will
have impacts not only in Europe. It will also impact
things in the Indo-Pacific as well."
NK has one of the largest
militaries in the world - 1.2 million soldiers - most are
probably lacking in actual combat experience. The Russians,
however, are combat hardened after several years of fighting
in Ukraine. Russia would get more man-power. NK would
get "money, technology and experience". NK soldiers
will get first hand combat experience and can go back to NK
and train other soldiers. This worries South Korea.
"What if they become a base for
supplying well-trained soldiers? The potential of this
deployment should be very concerning."
Austin Confirms North Korean Troops Sent to Russia:
"U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd
Austin Wednesday confirmed North Korea has sent to
troops to Russia to sustain its invasion and occupation
against Ukraine.
"American intelligence officials
have indicated they are about to release evidence of the
North Korean troop movement into Russia that includes
satellite photos. South Korea's intelligence told NBC
News the North Korean deployment includes missile
technicians that will be deployed to the front lines in
Ukraine. The agency said those troops are there to
support Russia's use of North Korean missiles against
Ukraine.

Gordon Chang's Thoughts:
"Mornings with Maria: had Gordon
Chang talked about North Korean troops in Russia. Chang said
that North Korea's 'special operators" are the best in the
world. He said that "China, Russia, North
Korea, Iran see Ukraine as the future of the world.
If they win there, they will win the world. If
they lose there, we have a change of reestablishing order in
the very troubling, turbulent world right now."
"So clearly this is where
we should draw the line... because the Russians
and the Chinese and everybody is doing so as well...The
North Koreans think they can do anything they want. We
are seeing that they are and actually in engaging in these
provocative balloon flights, sending these balloons into
South Korea."
"This is an
extraordinarily dangerous situation, especially
because North Korea right now is having problems especially
with food shortages. So they can do anything that they
possibly want because I don't think they believe there's a
deterrent there."

This could unravel into something
huge - the Biden admin, Biden DoD is always a step behind
and a clue short of what's going on...anywhere.
Everything they do is a poor choice, a bad decision.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
