Hello Lisa, John and Doves,

 

Lisa had an excellent letter last week covering the Feast of Tabernacles - which is coming up soon!  Using the new moon sighting in Israel, this date would be October 18th through October 25th - sunset to sunset.  Shemini Atzeret, the Last Great Day, would be sunset October 25th to sunset October 26th.  (Dates very per calendar used.)

Merry Tabernacles?

 

Many of us believe that Jesus WAS born on the Feast of Tabernacles - as "He came to tabernacle with us."  Lisa points out several reasons why this is a very good possibility.

 

In John 1; 14 we are told that "the Word dwelt among us", literally "tabernacled among us....The tabernacle was where sacrifices for the sins of God's people were made.  The tabernacle was a place of worship...The tabernacle has absolutely no meaning apart from Jesus".  Jesus "would be One who would fulfill the meaning of that tabernacle, who would be the true Tabernacle for us."

And Lisa pointed out in her letter that we will continue to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles during the Millennium Kingdom.  Lisa wrote that God wants us to remember this day - "Is it for the birth of Christ?  Or the marriage of the Lamb?"

 

Will we go to 'tabernacle' with Him on some future Feast of Tabernacles?

 

Quite possibly - as there is a chosen/appointed day for the Rapture.

I don't believe that, if we are watching, Jesus will show up like a thief.  This is what we are told.
