"Reading About Days Of
Old: Days Of Noah And Lot"
When the Messiah spoke about the Days of Noah and
the Days of Lot, He noted that there is something vitally
necessary to recognize, nearing His return. Is it the
commonality in the Genesis stories about normal behavior of
"eating and drinking" and "marrying and honeymooning" and
"buying and selling" for them? The days of Lot adds "planting
and building" as well. We should, above all, notice the
mindset of most people. What attitudes were shared? My life
will go on as it always has. Things will be the same tomorrow
as they are today, constant and dependable, since they are the
anchors of the reliable! For the Noah 8 and the Lot 4, and the
other people, these were things daily expected by the many. We
read in Genesis about circumstances changing fast. The
unexpected happened suddenly: inside or outside the ark, and
either leaving or remaining at Sodom.
The Noah stories HIGHLIGHT Month 2 Day 10 and Day
17. Were these days during Iyar (Spring) or during Cheshvan
(Autumn)? Either month, we can choose to read about and study
the Noah 8 and the Lot 4 and their Days and Times. This year,
according to the Torah Calendar, the NOAH Torah Portion is on
10-20 to 21 Shabbat. This will be 6 days before Month 2 Day
10. That day, Cheshvan 10 on 10-26-2023, will be The Annual
Anniversary, or Hemi-Anniversary of A Day of Division and
Separation, according to the Noah narratives in the Book of
Genesis. A day of distinction in resolution. Is the mindset
from days of old, similar to one that possibly exists now? My
tomorrow will be just like today.
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
