DECEPTION, OH SO GREAT

Some Christian brethren think a time of great deception is coming. I disagree. I think it is already here and has been for some time. Let me here cite several reasons why I believe this.

>>According to one report, an impeachment process has begun against President Joe Biden. He is accused of gaining office by deception. He is being accused of amassing hundreds of millions of dollars illegally.

>>It is now reported that the highest ranking military man in America has been arrested for high crimes and treason. I refer to the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff headquartered in the Pentagon.

>>Covid 19 was conceived in China at the Wuhan Laboratory quartered inside the massive Three Gorges Dam. Covid 19 was deceptively foisted upon the American people in 2020, and indeed the whole worlds, or so some authoritative voices are saying.

>>Americans are being deceived by the never ending printing of fiat currency. The national debt is so high that man cannot comprehend the number of dollars. Things are not o. k. as many think.

>>The crime rate is so high in our major cities as to alarm the most stout hearted.

>>Americans and the world citizenry think all is well. Partying never stops. Yet they have deceived themselves to think that God cares not over corruption of the human creation of man and woman. Transgenerism is tolerated, as is all kinds of off beat life styles. These souls are very much being deceived. God is just and He will judge.

>>Christianity is being mocked by preachers whose love is filthy lucre. Millions, if not hundreds of millions are being deceived into thinking that God does not judge. He does, emphatically. Eternal destinies are in the balance, yet the deception goes on.

>>No matter who you listen to, our world governments are in trouble. Deception is the marching order of the day in news media reporting. This so called fourth estate, so important to freedom, have seemingly sold out to big money interests. This group may be the greatest deceivers of all.

>>Fundamental Christian men who point out the evils of the world today are vilified, scoffed at and mocked as prudish and out of touch. What great deception allows people to sleep around, curse, gamble, sin their heads off and lie like a rug? These are deceived, I mean really deceived.

Let me give a few thoughts on the prophecy of Daniel called the seventy weeks of years. I know that sixty nine of those weeks came to an end with the appearance of Jesus Christ in the year zero. Many moons have come and gone since that time, a great gap of time until the seventieth week of years, that is the final seven years comes. The seven years is a prophecy on Israel, not on the gentile world. But, we live in the same world as they do. I have a hard time imagining how anyone can watch the horrible things that have happened to our world and to little Israel and still say that the tribulation is future. I agree that the GREAT tribulation, defined as the wrath of God Almighty has not yet come, but I feel certain that tribulation has and is occurring as I write this. It leads me to believe that we are in the first half of the seventieth week of Daniel's prophecy.

That makes me a mid-tribulationist I suppose, although I believe the Lord Jesus could crack the sky this very day. I am ever mindful of the statement by our Lord that “in a day ye think not, the Son of man cometh”. That tells me that all date setting is useless. But of the times and season, ah, that is another matter. We are in the times and we are in the seasons.

I will end these ramblings with this. I think the seventieth week of Daniel's prophecy began with the covid 19 lock downs, which stranded billions for a long time. I think God allowed it for our good, and men meant for evil. That means to me, that the final years began in the early part of 2020.

I am speculating that forty two months, the first half of the prophecy may count to either the end of 2023, or early in 2024.

I am praying like never before.
