It seems that the Armenians do not trust that the Azerbaijani's are telling the truth about their intentions - and for good reason. There is a concerted effort to create a land corridor that connects them to Turkey. The Turks have always loathed the Armenian people. See my previous post on the Armenian genocide. Azerbaijan leaders do not like the Armenian people. The Armenian people have every right not to trust either party. So, although the Azerbaijan leaders say they want to achieve the land corridor via 'peaceful' means - the fact is that they are going to create this corridor. Whether the Armenians like it or not.

Today - September 26th, a huge gas station explosion occurred as thousands of ethnic Armenians were fleeing. At least 20 people were killed and 300 were wounded. Details in the link below.

It seems that someone doesn't like this gas pipeline deal signed with Turkey. That, or they want to simply kill Armenians. I have such a gut feeling that a huge war is going to break out over this. It's not enough to want to destroy the Armenian people - the country of Armenia, itself, is in danger. For these fleeing Armenians, it's akin to jumping from the frying pan and into the fire.
