"Massive Intelligence Failure or Spiritual Blindness?"

Hello John and Doves,

I'm seeing much negative about Netanyahu and the IDF concerning 'not knowing' about the Hamas attack.  That Netanyahu is a globalist and that this was done on purpose to Israel.  I don't know what happened, but I know that nothing happens to Israel without God.

I wrote a Doves letter about this 'massive intelligence failure' after the Hamas attack...

Many of us believe we are in the last days leading up to the Rapture and the Tribulation.  Lots of birth pains have been prophesied for this time period.  How bad these will get for us is anyone's guess.

But we do know this -

In the Old Testament many, many times, Judah and Israel were punished for their turning away from G-d and turning to other gods and doing other things G-d was displeased with.  If they will not believe, He hardens their hearts, if they will not see, He blinds them to the truth.

I am currently reading through 2 Chronicles...of the various kings of Judah and Israel - some "did that which was right in the sight of the Lord"  - they 'destroyed the high places and broke the images and altars' and some "did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord" and 'built again the high places and altars and idols'.  Those who did evil were hit with major nasty health issues - one's bowels fell out, another got leprosy, some were killed by their own people or in battle and the Lord brought up their enemies to destroy their countries - kill, plunder, scatter.  And some listened to the prophets the Lord sent them and repented, rent their clothes and inquired of the Lord what they were to do to 'fix this'.

The evil kings/people were attacked by their enemies and slaughtered and plundered...and they often didn't see it coming.

Blindness would come upon them as they were 'turned over' by G-d to their enemies for judgment.

Numerous times in the Old and New Testaments were are told about this blindness.

In Deuteronomy 29:4 "Yet the Lord hath not given you a heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear unto this day."

And their prophet Isaiah said, "Go and tell this people, hear ye indeed, but understand not, see ye indeed, but perceive not, Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and convert and be healed."  Isaiah 6:9-10

Isaiah warned Israel and Judah that their deeds would result in catastrophes - he prophesied what's known as the "Six Woes".  He prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem (by the Babylonians), Judah, Israel and other countries

.

In the New Testament we are told what Isaiah the prophet said, lamenting how the words of the Lord told to the prophets and passed on to the kings were ignored - the kings were blinded:

John 12:38 - 40

"That the saying of Esaias (Isaiah) the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, "Lord, who hath believed our report?  And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart,... Therefore they could not believe..."

Israel and Judah often killed their 'prophets of the Lord'.  And paid a heavy price for not believing their warnings....their kings and countries were destroyed by their enemies.

All the Old Testament prophets warned Judah and Israel throughout history - warning them if they didn't turn to G-d and destroy the altars to other gods, etc...judgment would fall on them.  Some repented in sackcloth and ashes and destroyed the high places....others did not and calamity befell their country.

Jesus even spoke of this blindness:  "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killeth the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee.."  Matthew 23:37

Israel was blinded by God long before Jesus came..."Israel is not blind, because she rejected Christ - she rejected Christ because she was already blinded."
The Blindness of Israel: Mystery or Misunderstood – Israel My Glory

How long will this blindness last?  Paul tells us - and in Romans 11:25 Paul wrote, "...that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in."
So, will this blindness on Israel be lifted after the Rapture?  That would be during the Tribulation.

Israel is a very secular country today.  I remember talking with a previous Surgeon General of Israel - he told me he was only as "Jewish" as he needed to be to be in the military.  Tel Aviv is very secular and has a large gay population.  That's amazing to me.!  But it's how they have turned against God. Their government, their people - have not turned back to God.

And recently, Netanyahu was all excited about "normalization" with Saudi Arabia - he downplayed Saudi Arabia's very strong stance on a 'two state solution' saying that 'that  wasn't as big a deal as people think it is for Saudi Arabia'.  I noted in that Doves letter that that was an odd belief to have - Saudi Arabia has never recognized the nation of Israel - how could Netanyahu think they'd come to a peace agreement with Israel and how could he think the two-state solution wasn't a big deal for them?  Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have been very open about that from the get go of this "normalization" process. Was this part of the supernatural blindness on Israel's leader?

In The Revelation - that coming Tribulation is "Jacob's Trouble" - Jacob is Israel.  It is a time period to get the attention of the Jewish people so they will turn back to God and accept His son as their Messiah.  God sends them 144,000 ministers, 12,000 of each tribe - to preach His word to them during that time.  He never abandons them.  They are His people.

Jesus told us about 'birth pains' before this horrible time period begins.  I believe we are in those days - that God is getting ready to start the Tribulation and Israel is being prepped.

Ezekiel 38 the Gog and Magog War is part of this End Times - in this war Israel is surprise attacked - they weren't aware of these armies that were about to pounce upon them.  This is a prophecy for the Last Days - it's never been fulfilled.  I've wondered how in the world, with all the high tech stuff Israel and the US have - that Israel could be surprised by an attack from the north??  It's seems impossible.

So did this Hamas attack ...it seems impossible that neither Israel nor the US were aware of this...especially if this was in the planning for a year or so.

Were they supernaturally blinded so this could take place?

To fulfill the prophecies of the Gog and Magog War, that's exactly what happens.  A supernatural blindness.  They don't see the attack coming.  And the countries of the world are shocked when this happens.

I believe that this Hamas war will morph into the Gog and Magog War...there are more surprises coming for Israel and the world.

Just a few thoughts for now..

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!  That peace will come after the Lord returns and sets up His kingdom!  So keep praying!  We are so close!

Maranatha!
