I've been seeing a lot lately about a Psalm 83 War.
So I decided to go read Psalm 83 and see what all of
this is about. Psalm 83 was written by Asaph, a
prophet of the Lord.
The Psalm is about the enemies of God's Holy people
- these enemies have "taken crafty counsel against they
people and consulted against they hidden ones."
(Bill Salus was on Prophecy Watchers with Gary Stearman
and was asked who he thought the 'hidden ones' are - he
said they could be those who are taken in the Rapture -
true Christians.)
Then Asaph goes on, "They have said, Come, and let
us cut them off from being a nation: that the name
of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they
have consulted together with one consent: They are
confederate against thee..."
Then he names those people that are the enemies of
Israel. What Bill Salus pointed out was
these countries surround Israel. And none are
listed as being in the Gog and Magog War.
Asaph goes on and asks the Lord to do to these
people what he did to other enemies of Israel.
"...make them as the stubble before the wind....So
persecute them with they tempest, and make them afraid
with they storm....Let them be confounded and troubled for
ever..let them be put to shame and perish. That men
may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the
most high over all the earth." Psalm 83
What I noted was there is no actual war in Psalm
83. Asaph is telling the Lord about these evil
people plotting and planning against Israel and he wants
God to do something about them.
Ever since Israel became a nation - Arab neighbors
have been plotting and planning to get rid of
Israel. The PLO Charter and Hamas Charter are
written evidence of this. They want to wipe Israel
off the map.
Right now we are seeing Hezbollah/Lebanon, Shiia
milita/Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Hamas/Gaza and PLO/West Bank
verbally and/or physically attacking Israel. These
have all previously conspired against Israel. They
are all pretty much directly around the country of Israel
and are named in Psalm 83. They have all attacked Israel
at some point over the years. These have all sought
to wipe Israel off the map. And are plotting and
scheming even now.
The enemies of Israel are many: Hezbollah,
Hamas, Shiia militia, PLO, Iran, Russia, the Arab League,
probably China too as they financially support Yemen and
have a military base in Djibouti just a few miles from the
U.S. Navy base (Camp Lemonnier) in Djibouti - and those 15
drones and 4 cruise missiles shot down by our USS Carney
in the northern Red Sea came from Yemen - their target war
Israel or our U.S.carrier in the Mediterranean? This
was considered "the first U.S. military action taken to
defend Israel..."

I don't see Psalm 83 about an actual war - this was
a prayer by Aseph for God to take Israel's enemies out -
before they attack- a pre-empt? Aseph was a prophet
of the Lord - maybe he knew where this was
going...something like what Israel has experienced since
1948...on through today....and now Hamas has attacked and
I heard Hezbollah has decided to join the war..that would
pull in the PLO, Houthis, Shiia militia, Iran, etc.
But Aseph didn't actually tell us where this "conspiring"
was going or the outcome....it could be what results is
war with Israel. And that's why he asks God to
intervene while they are still conspiring and not
attacking.
Aseph does write something that matches with Ezekiel
38: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone
is JEHOVAH, are the most high over all the earth."
In Ezekiel 38:23, the Lord says, "I will be known in the
eyes of many nations and they shall know that I am the
Lord." And Ezekiel 39:28 "Then shall they know
that I am the Lord their God.."
Maybe Psalm 83 is setting the stage for the Gog and
Magog War. What's going on now in Israel could morph
into this Ezekiel war, but Israel doesn't fight this with
help from other countries - so something happens to her
allies.....?? Maybe a war with the "conspirators"
takes out the allies....?
As for the "hidden ones" - if these are those going
in the Rapture - the Muslims definitely have a lot
of 'crafty counsel' going on against us.
Anyone supporting Israel now is a target.
