John and Doves,
Zechariah 14:7 gives us the time Jesus returns to Jerusalem.
Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time
it shall be light.
The day Jesus returns to Jerusalem is known to him ( it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD). It is not a day, nor night to
tribulation survivors because after a global nuclear warfare is fought, sky is covered by heavy smoke and nuclear cloud. Sun and moon light are blocked. Darkness covers the whole earth. People cannot identify if they are in day or night. But "at evening time,
it shall be light". Jesus is called the light of the world. "At evening it shall be light" speaks of Jesus returning to earth as the light shines upon the earth.
Here's a question. Why does Jesus return to earth in the evening? Why can't he return to earth in the morning, or in the afternoon? It is
because Marriage Supper of the Lamb is held in the evening. Jesus returns to earth immediately after the Marriage Supper. It can only place his return in the evening.
My summary. "that at evening time it shall be light.". The light is Jesus. Jesus is the light of the world. At evening time, it shall be light.
It speaks of the light Jesus returns to earth in the evening Jerusalem time.
A note here. No one knows the day and hour including Son of man can only be referred to rapture. It can’t be referred to Jesus’ physical return to earth because the day he returns to earth is known by him.
