"Doesn't there have to be everlasting fire, for there to be justice?"

Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

(There has to be everlasting fire, for there to be justice:)

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

(Those devils know that justice is coming:)

Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

(However, if no justice is coming, then both heaven and earth will be like the days of Noah, and Sodom, and Auschwitz forever.
But man was made in the image and likeness of God, and we were given a choice, to live, or follow the devil to perdition:)

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

(But the enemy was looking for a loophole, to try and to escape the coming judgment.
If he could only get man to sin, like he and his angels did, then maybe the LORD might let this special creation, man, get way with sin.
With that loophole he could accuse the LORD of not being perfectly righteous in his justice, and then get off, with his angels.)

Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

(But man did sin, and the wages of sin is death, the second death in the lake of fire.
Yet the LORD maintained his righteousness, by allowing a substitute to die in the place of man, but blood had to be shed.)

Hebrews 9:22b  and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Proverbs 27:26a The lambs are for thy clothing,

(The LORD killed those lambs to clothe Adam and Eve, but it was a picture, that he was going to make good on the substitution.)

Genesis 22:8a And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:

(Jesus created man is his own image and likeness, and then in the fulness of time:)

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,

John 1:14a And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Philippians 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

(“Why would a loving God send anyone to hell?”
Actually, a loving God is doing everything possible to keep us from going to hell!)

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Mark 4:38b and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(Jesus asked the religious:)

Matthew 23:33b  how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

(The question still is:)

Hebrews 2:3a How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;

(If we’re already saved, we need to warn people about hell, and give them the good news of the gospel.
If any of us possibly might not yet be saved, then we need to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus.)
