Like you, it took me awhile to get through the letters on Five Doves that week. Lol. Thank you for your concern, Gino. We live in a lovely village and have everything we need, thanks to Almighty God. Your letter did get me thinking about how the media are distorting perceptions. The news out of the EU is dire re the energy crisis. Leading all to think that her people are going to freeze to death this winter. This simply is not true. For now, it's over-blown media hype. Massive distraction from the real dangers approaching.
For example - the 2nd link below has an article about these bizarre 'Just Stop Oil' protestors that are blighting the news pages (and art galleries) recently. It's all massive distraction. The UK Prime Minister, Liz Truss, is going through a leadership crisis at present. The knives are out for her. Yet, the photos tell me a different story. She often has an amused expression on her face - a slight smirk, if you will. I tend to believe this is all a dog and pony show, designed to distract the majority from rising up against them all. Because the stark reality is that we are all staring nuclear war in the face. These evil politicians are leading millions upon millions of ordinary people to the slaughter. THIS is the reality. Everything is else is meaningless, destructive distraction.
