Hello John and Doves,
For the calendars I've been
using, Feast of Trumpets and Day of Atonement have now
passed. The next High Holy Days are Feast of
Tabernacles/Sukkot (a seven day festival) and Shemini
Atzeret (the Eighth Day).
Sukkot:
Fay wrote about Sukkot in this
25 Sept 2022 letter - where she wrote about Natan being
taken to heaven on the first day of Sukkot. Here's the
link:

re More Info on end of Elul
She wrote, "In
the meantime, I watch and wait for Sukkot.". Take a look
at her letter for why she's watching Sukkot. And
this is the next feast of the Fall High Holy days.
It isn't a one day feast - it last for seven days.
The seven days of Sukkot are all this one
feast "You are to celebrate this as a feast to
the Lord for seven days each year." Leviticus
23:41.
"...On
the fifteenth day of the seventh month
the Feast of Tabernacles to the Lord begins, and
it continues for seven days." The first
day is a sacred assembly involving no regular work, a
fire offering and complete rest. During these
seven days the Israelites were to 'present an offering
of fire to the Lord'. That takes care of the seven
days.
Shemini
Atzeret:
However,
the Lord goes on, "On the eighth day
you are to hold a sacred assembly and
present an offering made by fire to
the Lord. It is a solemn assembly;
you must not do any regular work."
"There shall be complete rest on the first day and also
on the eighth day." Leviticus 23:36, 39. So
here we have yet another day of 'sacred assembly' and a
'fire offering' and 'do no regular work' and complete
rest. So it's just as important to the Lord as the
first day of Sukkot.
So
this eighth day is a separate but just as sacred a day
to the Lord.
Torah
Calendar:
The
Torah Calendar has the correct days per the sighting of
the new moon (if we have the correct month - there are
those who think Tishrei is a month away still). So
Sukkot starts on sunset 14 Tishrei and ends on sunset 21
Tishrei (Oct 14 sunset to Oct 18 sunset).
The
eighth day is Sehmini Atzeret - sunset 21 Tishrei to
sunset 22 Tishrei (Oct 18 sunset to Oct 19 sunset)
It's
possible that Jesus was born on the first day of Sukkot
- when He came to tabernacle with us...and maybe we will
be Raptured on that day to tabernacle with Him in
Heaven. Many on Doves have written about Feast of
Tabernacles.
Shemini
Atzeret - this day is the least understood and most
obscure of the Biblical holidays. Many have
written about this day too.
John
refers to this day as the "greatest day" of Sukkot:
"The
number 8 represents a new beginning, meaning a new order
or creation, and man's true "born again" event when he
is resurrected from the dead into eternal life."
(Eight is an important number - "Jesus showed himself
alive 8 times after his resurrection from the
dead." And in the Great Flood, God saved eight
people.)
Meaning
of the Number 8 in the Bible
The
number eight in the Bible signifies Resurrection and
Regeneration.
Also,
it was on this day "On the last and greatest day
of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out
in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to
Me and drink." John 7:37 On this day, Jesus
offers us "living waters."
It
is the Prophet Zechariah who tells us that on the Feast
of Tabernacles that all nations of the world are to go
to Jerusalem to worship the Kind, the Lord of
Hosts. The people are to celebrate the Feast of
Tabernacles during the 1,000 Years of Peace. "And
it comes to pass, that every one that is left of all the
nations which came against Jerusalem shell even go up
from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of
Hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles."
Zechariah 14:16
Shemini
Atzeret is also a "solemn assembly". Shemini is
eight; Atzeret is assembly. Thus the Eighth
Assembly.
A
"solemn assembly" was called by a king or a prophet or
religious leader when "destruction was at the
door"...there would be a remnant or a leader who would
recognize both their imminent danger and the source of
their deliverance. They would call for a solemn
assembly and turn to God. On this day, "they would
offer a sacrifice and seek God's face. They would
not do any work that day, but stop everything to seek
God's face." And as with the Lord's High Holy
Days, God Himself has commanded "solemn assemblies".
"In
the New Testament, the 120 gathered in the Upper Room on
the Day of Pentecost - this was a "New Testament Type"
of Solemn Assembly. There are times when the
people of God are called to come together and put aside
other things in order to seek the "face of God".
A
Call to Solemn Assembly
The
prophet Micah wrote about going out to gather summer
fruit, grapes and figs - only to find that all
have been gleaned - and compares this to the godly men
of the earth that have been snatched away. The day
of the watchman has come.
According
to this Table on "Havesting and ingathering based on
modern agricultural practices in Israel" - all of the
figs, grapes, and summer fruit were harvested by the end
of September. Only olives are still harvested in
October.
Is
this prophet giving us a clue as to the timing of this
"snatching away"? October - when the summer
fruits, grapes and figs are gone from the fields.
Also,
back in 2020, Pastor Dana had a dream of a September
calendar where at the end of this month Jesus appeared
in the clouds with His angels and said that we will soon
see His face. (Possibly referring to the month of
October?) In his October calendar dream a finger
appeared and drew through the 2nd and 3rd full weeks of
October - this year those days are, starting with Sunday
thru Saturday - two weeks: October 9 through
October 22 - this includes the day before the eve of
Sukkot and shortly after Shemini Atzeret. Pastor
Dana's dreams have rarely included a year...so it's
possible these dreams are prophetic for this October,
2022.
Pastor
Dana said he was told to pray for three things - the
last was for 'a great harvest'. We know the
Rapture is a 'harvest' and it is also an assembly.
Will
we be called to meet the Lord in the air, for His
"solemn assembly" where we shall see His face in the
Rapture and the Believers will be the first to worship
the Lord in Jerusalem in these prophetic End Times -
will this be on Feast of Tabernacles?
Will
the Rapture be sometime during Sukkot (the seven days)
or on the mystery day, Shemini Atzeret? The day we
drink of the "living waters" that Jesus offers?
God's
people are to humble themselves, repent of their sins
and seek His face.
We
know that the Lord will soon call a "solemn assembly"
in the clouds! An assembly called "when
destruction is at the door"!
Pray
for the peace of Jerusalem!
Maranatha!
