"Reply to Donna Danna - When the AntiChrist kills the Two Witnesses"

Hi, Donna:

You wrote in http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2021/donnad1017-6.htm
  • Can you tell me when you think the Two Witnesses will appear if it's not at the beginning of a 7 year tribulation period because they have to be around 42 months or 1,260 days to prophesy according to Rev. 11:3 & the Antichrist kills them & he continues 42 months according to Rev. 13:5?
  • So if he doesn't kill them after they have been around for first 42 months or 3 & 1/2 yrs. of a 7 year tribulation period, when do you think he kills them?
  • The Two Witnesses could very well prevent him from going inside the Temple of God for 42 months if he or his comrades try to hurt them to get inside so that he can sit in the Temple of God & show himself that he is God.  The Two Witnesses according to Rev. 11:5 have fire proceeding out of their mouths that kills their enemies if anyone tries to hurt the Two Witnesses.  When the Antichrist sits in the Temple of God, isn't that when the abomination of desolation (image of the Beast) is also set up?
  • Isn't that when he continues for 42 months?
You seem to have made a number of assumptions, and they should be identified as such.  One assumption is that Rev. 13:5 -
And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
requires an additional 42 months.  It should seem clear from Rev. 11:7-14 that they finish their testimony, they are killed, they are raised, they ascend to heaven, there is a "great earthquake, a tenth of Jerusalem is destroyed, and then the third woe comes quickly.  And then it's verse 15, which is "game over."  There is simply no justification for believing that somewhere between the events of the second woe and the third which "comes quickly" that there is another 42 months.

Please go back and review Daniel 9 and look at the objectives in verse 24.  These things must be completed before the final seven years are complete, and they include "anoint the Most Holy" which is specifically identified and described in Ezekiel 40-44.  It is the massive and elaborate Temple Complex and there is no way it can be built while Satan is running the world from Jerusalem.

The AntiChrist and two witnesses both come on the scene at the beginning of the final seven years.  Satan has a 42-month reign which is tribulation for the saints remaining on the earth after the rapture, and simultaneous wrath for those who have rejected the truth and have chosen to worship the Beast and his image.  At the end of 1,260 days the Two Witnesses are killed.  Very shortly after that the event commonly known as the "Battle of Armageddon" will take place, Satan's followers will be destroyed and Satan will be cast into the bottomless pit.  Peace and blessing will return to the world by the 1,335th day according to Daniel 12:12.  This leaves the remainder of Daniel's 70th Week for reconstruction and preparation for the millennial reign.  This basic model accounts for the Biblical data and is internally consistent.

Some of the details are unclear, apparently by design, but do not concern those of us who leave in the rapture.  And I think the main thing should remain focusing on being worthy so we don't get left behind, rather that academic arguments over things which are disputed and have been unresolved for a long time.

Hope to see you soon.  Maybe this week!!
