"Three Days of
Disappointment"
Dear John and Doves -
Yom Teruah - October 7-8 and expectations were sky
high. YouTube and other platforms lit up with hope
that the Feast of Trumpets this year, properly calculated as
being in early October, would be the fulfillment of Rosh
Hashannah and Jesus would gather us to Himself. Many
of our favorite prophecy teachers came to the same
conclusion.
Dial back 2,000 years and Jerusalem was buzzing with fervent
hope that this was their Messiah, come to boot out the
Romans and elevate Israel to its place as the head of all
nations.
In both cases, a high hope dashed. An expectation
shattered - a dream ended or, at least, postponed.
Three days later, the Jews found an empty tomb. All
was not lost; not by a longshot! He is risen.
For us, we need to hold on a bit longer. Maybe, like
back then, just three days. The rapture is for the
church, not for the Jews. The feasts were kept by the
Jews as "dress rehearsals" for ultimate fulfillment in the
Jewish future. The church does not keep Yom Teruah,
nor does it have "dress rehearsals" for the rapture.
Just as the first feasts were fulfilled at the end of 62
weeks, we should expect the fall feasts to be fulfilled at
the END of the last week, about seven years from now.
So dial back seven years from the possible (and I think
HIGHLY likely) fulfillment in 2028, and you land in October
2021.
I still think the Bad Guys are after us. They want to
pollute the gene pool, destroy God's natural order, crush
God's people and obliterate God's moral law. The
restrainer is about to be removed and we're going
home. The numbers for the beginning of the final
"Great Tribulation" (third in a set of three) and the
confirmation of the covenant this month still work.
Just be patient. Maybe only a few more days.
Best,
Steve
