Hi John and doves,

I have been frustrated by the verses in revelation that talk about jesus coming soon.

Surely 2000 years is  not soon?!

Eg

He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:20 ESV

But i recently found this passage in Isaiah which is in some chapters thick with verses that sound straight out of revelation.

The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the Lord ; in its time I will hasten it.
Isaiah 60:22 ESV

And a few snippets from just before this

The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give you light; but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
Isaiah 60:19 ESV

Your gates shall be open continually; day and night they shall not be shut, that people may bring to you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession.
Isaiah 60:11 ESV

So back to revelation

The interlinear says the word is quickly.

So maybe it is like Isaiah.

in its time I will hasten it.

Please Lord Jesus, hasten it!
