The laws of chemistry, were created by Jesus, along with the laws of physics.

These laws are not naturally violated, which is why alchemists were always unsuccessful.

The electronic stability of gold, at the atomic level, ensures that it does not oxidize, like, e.g. iron.

What I was wondering about was the possibility of a supernatural intervention, to fulfill James 5:1-3.

There were supernatural interventions, beyond the laws of chemistry and physics, made by Jesus.

He turned water into wine, walked on water, and raised an already decaying Lazarus from the dead.

There appears to be supernatural intervention in some of things that happen in the book of Revelation.

So, I was wondering, if this one time, Jesus might intervene, again, going beyond the laws of chemistry.

So that rich men of this world, and the corrupt leaders of the nations, who put their trust in gold,

because of its chemical incorruptibility, as has been done for 6,000 years,

will suddenly have their feet knocked out from under them, and their trust disappear before their eyes?

It would seem to me, that taking James 5:1-3 literally, about the rust of gold,

would be this kind of end-times judgment.
