Fay,That is really an amazing thought, about the possible affect of a tsunami.I had not thought of that possibility, before, the water coming all the way in from the sea.Some of the other possibilities, that I had thought of, I had written down a few weeks back.I’ll copy them here, for you:————————————————————————————————Revelation 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.}
(Clearly, this could mean just as it sounds, a flood of liquid water, H2O, similar to:
II Kings 3:20 And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
(Or this could be referring to a flood in a spiritual sense, similar to other uses that way:)
II Samuel 22:5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
Psalms 69:2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
Psalms 90:5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
Jeremiah 46:7 Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers?8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
Jeremiah 47:2 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Daniel 11:22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
(So, could this be referring to a flood of rebellion?Lines 14 and 15 refer to the devil as the serpent, his lying, deceiving role,provoking to sin and to rebel.It says, water “as a” flood, “after”, to follow her into her safe place,to cause Israel to be “carried away” of the flood.The serpent, like in the garden, casts out of his mouth lies and deceit,to provoke Israel to rebel.The earth, not the world, the earth, helps Israel, it says,“the earth opened her mouth”:)
Numbers 16:32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
(The exact same words, “the earth opened her mouth”,are used to describe Israel being protected from the rebellion.The earth “swallowed” them up, similar to the earth “swallowed” up the flood.When the earth swallowed up the rebels,was it to help Israel from being carried away of the flood of ungodly men?Could it be that the devil will again try to destroy Israel,from within the camp in the wilderness, out of his mouth?Will he again try to provoke Israel to rebellion, to destroy it from within,but the earth will again help Israel?In the wilderness, the first time, the devil could not destroy Israel by Amalek,nor by rebellion, nor by curse.The only real weapon that the devil seems to use, is his tongue.That is how he causes doubt and fear, how he tempts, and how he provokes.The only damage he could do to Israel in the wilderness,was through the hearts and mouths of the children of Israel, themselves.The LORD protected and nourished Israel 40 years in the wilderness,and he will do it again for the last 3½ years of Jacob’s trouble.)
