Hi Greg,
I agree with much of what you said in your post , but I do want to clarify my understanding of :
Luke 21:28
" When these things begin to take place, look up and lift up your heads for YOUR REDEMPTION draws near."
My understanding of "REDEMPTION " in this Scripture IS NOT speaking of the time when a person first believes, but rather it is speaking of the "REDEMPTION" of all believer's bodies which takes place at the time of our RESURRECTION / RAPTURE when our natural earthly bodies are redeemed, ie. changed, to our glorified spiritual bodies so that we can then enter heaven according to :
1 Corinthians 15:50-53
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.......but we shall ALL BE CHANGED.......For this corruption must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT:
When we first become believers, we are SANCTIFIED for salvation , not REDEEMED at that time . Our REDEMPTION of our bodies happens at the time of the resurrection / rapture.
According to Your Holy Word, come Lord Jesus !
