After linking Luke 17:33, I felt the need to link the entirety of Luke 17. Because it shows - without any doubt - that true believers will be taken (raptured) before the wrath of God comes upon the world. It is wonderfully comforting. We do NOT need to be afraid.
I also love Luke 17 because it ties in with the issue of forgiveness. A lot of Christians tie themselves up in knots, thinking they have to forgive - even if their forgiveness is not asked for. Nonsense! I have no such compunction to forgive if the person who has wronged me is not sorry. Luke 17:3 tells us that we are only required to forgive if the person says they are truly sorry. Even if they keep repeating the same mistake - as long as they are truly sorry each time - only then are we required to forgive. Phew! I may be a changed being because of my faith but I am not stupid. Or bulletproof!
Luke 17 will allay all your fears regarding what is coming upon this world. We WILL be taken out of the way.
Maranatha, LORD Jesus. We need You. We adore You. We yearn for You.
