Watch!!!
1 Peter 4:7 But the END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND: be ye therefore sober, and WATCH unto prayer.
There has (arguably) never been a time like now to WATCH for HIS COMING!! The signs of His Imminent Coming are not only very strong, but also accelerating!! Many view our preoccupation with the Rapture as being unduly zealous. However, this zealousness comes from the lips of Jesus: His command to WATCH (and not just wait).
Our desire for His 2nd Coming derives from our passion for His 1st Coming: His selfless love in dying on the cross for us, rising from the dead and ever living to make intercession for us!! I have presented some of Jesus’ commands to watch below, and there are some wonderful promises for those who are found watching!!
Not being left behind!!
Matthew 24: 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left (behind). 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Going through an OPEN DOOR with the BRIDEGROOM to the WEDDING!!
Matthew 25: 11 Afterward came also the other (foolish) virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Watch and Pray for His Return!!
Matthew 26:41 Watch and PRAY, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Mark 13: 32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.
The Master is Coming/Returning (very soon)!!
Mark 13: 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming. 36, 37 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
Those WATCHING will be BLESSED and ESCAPE!!
Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.
Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
He will come as a thief for those NOT WATCHING!!
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
Revelation 16:15 Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
