John and Doves,
James 2: 1--16"My brethren have not the Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory,with respect to persons.
For if there come into your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel,
and there come also a poor man in vile raiment;
And you have respect to him that weareth real good clothes, and say unto him, "Sit thou here in a good place;
And say to the poor, "Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool",
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and become judges of evil thoughts ?
Hearken, my beloved brethren.Hath not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in Faith,and heirs of the kingdom which He hath promised*to them that love Him?"*
But ye have despised (neglected) the poor.Do not rich men(elitists etc.) oppress you,and draw you before the judgment seats? (Courts).
Do not they(the uncaring rich)blaspheme that worthy Name (Christ) by the which ye are called?
If ye fulfill the Royal Law according to the Scripture:"Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself",You do well.
But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin...
13. "For He shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy;And mercy rejoiceth against judgment."
15. If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food,
And one of you say unto them, "Depart in peace.Be ye warmed and filled;
notwithstanding you give them *not* those things which are needful for the body;what doth it profit?"-----------------------------
The above section of James Chapter 2 tells us that we are not to have favoritism among other people, especially when it comes to providing the necessities of life.
"I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy."Romans 9 :15
Here is a testimony of a poor person whom God in His unfathomable mercy saved from a destitute life.
Joshua's story touched me. He gave this testimony at Pastor KeithMalcomson's Church.Pastor Keith is gracious to have Joshua give his story to the congregants.How many pastors do we know that do that ?Hardly any.
Joshua reminded me that with winter coming on, there will be more homeless people than ever before, that need food, clothing, shelter, sweaters, blankets, mittens, caps, scarves etc.
Matthew 25: 31--46 is a section of the Bible that teaches all of us to have compassion:
35 "I was *hungry*, and ye gave me meat.
I was *thirsty* and you gave me drink.
I was a *stranger*and you took me in. (with Holy Spirit discernment. Tithing to organizations that provide such).
36. "*Needing clothes*, and you clothed me.
I was *sick* and you visited me.
I was in *prison*, and you came to me."(with Holy Ghost discernment. Tithing to ministries that handle this).
The Lord says to us, in these verses, that each time we provide the necessary things in life to needy people, we are
**actually doing it for Jesus,**
because the spirit of God is within our earthly bodies, all of us, without respect to persons.
The way to lift the plagues off of America, and to make America great again, is to give cheerfully to the poor.
Daniel 4:27"Wherefore, O king, let my councel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness;
"And thine iniquities
**by showing mercy to the poor; **
if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility."
And
"I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious;And will show mercy on whom I will show mercy."Exodus 33:19
"There but for the grace of God, go I."
"Do Thy diligence to come shortly unto me."2 Timothy 4:9
"Come before Winter."Second Timothy 4:21
