"Self-Love; Mike Niles"

John and Doves,

Speaker Mike Niles begins his message by giving us an understanding of how powerful the Word of God is.

The Word is most of all our freedom.
It releases us from the burden of our guilt as we realize that God died in our place for our sins, and now we can have peace with Him.

The Word gives us wisdom and instruction for righteous living.

The Word gives us the victorious Sword of the Spirit to overcome the adversary and his attacks against us. We need never be embarrassed by the Word of God.

"I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For it is the power of God unto Salvation"
Romans 1:16

In this message, Mike
shows us two concepts. One is that of Holiness, as shown in Isaiah 6.

In this scene, the man Isaiah is disturbed that his King Uzziah has died, and things look so uncertain. He ponders who will lead the people. And then the LORD appears to him in all His regal splendor.

The holiness of the Lord--high and lifted up-- is in stark contrast to Isaiah  that he, Isaiah, confesses his shame of having unclean lips, in the midst of a people of unclean lips.

Then one of the Seraphim angels touches Isaiah's lips with a burning coal, signifying that God is forgiving Isaiah and purifying him.

And the Lord tells Isaiah that He needs a messenger who can convey an important message for Him to the people, and who can He count on to deliver the message ?

Isaiah, now flushed with the grace of God, yearns at the chance and says,
"Here am I...Send me!"
"Hineni !"

Secondly, Mike shows us why we need Holiness living, especially in these Last Days.
Because we are awash in unholiness living and in great disrespect.

The list of our self- love attitude is in
2nd Timothy 3:1-5

Mike encourages us to *pray,* rather than be filled with worry and anxiety over these End Time criseses.

He shows us the depravity of Pride found in
Matthew 23.

The antidote for our selflove, our self-pride, is daily Sanctification through the reading of God's Holy Word.
