"Waiting on the Lord"

Greetings my friends in Jesus Christ.  America is going thru a time of waiting right now. Waiting to see when the virus pandemic will come to an end. Waiting to see how long we will half to wear face masks, social distancing, virtual school learning at home ,  attending church services by computer and in-person. When will life as we once knew it return to normal. Good question, but while no one really knows, we are learning to adapt to this new normal

There are many bible scriptures that talk about waiting on God for deliverance, for His salvation, for God to work on our behalf and to keep His promises. God is trustworthy - Isaiah 49:23 tell us " you will know that I am the Lord, for you shall not be ashamed when you wait for Me " . As Christians we show our trust in God when we wait for Him. Waiting requires patience, being confident that He is at work in our lives and that His timing is perfect. James 5:7 says " see how the farmer waits for the good fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it "

Through out the bible, there are many stories of people who waited on the Lord to help them in their time of need. God promises to come thru for us, but waiting is usually required when asking God for help. God's timing in answering our prayer requests can be a big divine mystery at times. We may not always understand why God does what He does, but we know we can trust Him. Isaiah 30:18 reminds us that " blessed are all those who wait upon the Lord "

Our Lord loves you so much , He wants to be gracious to you so He does wait at times to come thru for us till the timing is just right. You may be right now in that waiting room , praying for the Lord to answer your prayer requests. Don't give up, keep your eyes focused on our Savior Jesus Christ. He knows what you are going thru. If your in the valley seeing no way out, trust God - He knows how to rescue you. Stay positive , stay strong - and watch the Lord work on your behalf

Have a blessed day in the Lord,  Gary Rich
