Sitting here at just past 1.30am and these are the headlines in the Daily Mail. This is being done under the acronym, MACA.
I know that the Daily Mail is a rag which indulges in sensationalism and scaremongering....but this takes the cake. The army is being drafted in to ensure Covid lockdowns are adhered to. MACA stands for Military Aid to Civil Authorities. I live in the South of England, close to London and the media have been focusing on the north of England re Covid for a couple of weeks now. People there are kicking off and resisting the lockdown's because they clearly see that it is all a flipping farce. It is a blatant ruse to establish military rule. Businesses in the north are demanding money from government to keep small business afloat. They have been loud (quite rightly so) and very rebellious. Here is the result.
As an aside - here in the south of England, you wouldn't even know Covid exists. People carry on as normal. The roads are busy etc. Other than wearing the dreary masks in public (yawn) - life is as normal. The media headlines tell a different story! One has to ask - what alternate dimension do the evil media live in ?
This is getting seriously surreal.
