"Covenant is about the Temple, not the piecemeal peace with nations"

Dan 9:27 is speaking of the Temple which will be built on the same 36 acre platform as the Mosque stands today. When the word is given that Israel can build the Temple will be the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation. Notice how the prophet Daniel includes the agenda included in the temple service ( and for half of the week he shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease ). and the place where the abomination is to be placed. Rev 11 continues with the story-----

“Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample over the holy city for forty-two months.

In the first half of the Tribulation Israel will dwell in Peace under the arm of the antichrist while the world is at war and judgement.  Why the scriptures say the nations ( gentiles ) will trample over the holy city for 42 months as many will come also to worship at the mosque from many nations.

But peace will not last, at the coming of the antichrist as king who will declare himself god almighty in the middle of the seven, and the abomination of desolation is in place shall those flee for their lives.

1 Thess 5:3  When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape.

Mat 24:15 “So when you see the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; 17 let him who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house; 18 and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his mantle. 19 And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
