"Coverstones dreams and the doctrine of the Lords imminent return"

Pastor Coverstones dreams are very similar to what Dave Wilkerson saw as well, but obviously Coverstones are more detailed and more about what is just around the corner, where Dave Wilkersons was more about the general rioting and fires worldwide. (Also what will happen at the 6th seal).

What’s always common about End Times dreams, (if they are genuine), and scriptural, is they usually agree to some extent with others who have had similar dreams. Also the one who has the dream rarely knows exactly what it may represent, or when exactly it may occur.

Coverstones are more unique because he was given pictures of the upcoming months right ahead of us and even now. Where Dave Wilkerson didn’t know when his would be fulfilled. To many of these people it seems like the dreams they have are always going to occur very soon. Dave Wilkerson certainly thought he would see his come to pass in his lifetime, just as the disciples did in theirs.

John the Revelator certainly thought his vision would be fulfilled in his lifetime and the other disciples thought Jesus would return in their lifetime. We need look no further than the following passage which says:

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Notice They included themselves (“we”), with the ones who would be caught up in the air, not some far off generation. This speaks to the imminancy doctrine directly and shows they expected his return back then. The fact that they didn’t know it would be 2000 years later has no bearing on anything.

Every generation following, if they were real Christians, also thought they would be the ones to see the Lord return. But God plans are perfect as well as his timing. To him this has all been just a day, not 2000 years.

But he also didn’t leave us in complete darkness about the signs preceding and he also told us that the generation that saw the beginning of the end times signs, would be the same generation to see the end of all things.

We, not being blind, can plainly see we are that final generation, because the signs are everywhere and will only increase right up to the day. And we are also told in scripture to not forsake the assembling of ourselves “as we see the day approaching”. Since we know Jesus is at the doorstep and we were also told we can know when he is in fact at the doorstep, we have to always be on guard just as the disciples were.

It has never been about just one event the signals his return, but the many all culminating at once. To say otherwise is to ignore some passages of scripture and only cling to the ones we like or think we have figured out.

Remember the Bible is a huge collage and when it comes to end times events it’s even many times puzzle like. However the master plan is Revelation, and all Old Testament end times prophecy, plugs into Revelation, not the other way around. This is where far too many people lose it. They just refuse to accept that Revelation is the final word and order and so many take it out of order for the wrong reasons.

Lastly, when it comes to imminancy, and why its such an important doctrine, is what does it matter when Jesus comes if you died today? In fact it just proves that imminancy is a part of every day life.

Yesterday, today or tomorrow Jesus will come for somebody somewhere correct? If you aren’t ready when God calls your number, then the future return of Jesus is meaningless to that person. It only matters if you are ready to meet him when you die and that could be today. Approx 50 million people die a year worldwide. That’s breaks down to approx 14k a day, and over 500 per hour. That’s a lot of imminent deaths and God allows and orders each one.

So the question isn’t if the Lords return and or death is imminent, because it always is, and always has been. The question is, are you imminently ready?
